Download or read book Suggestions for the Preparation of the M A Thesis Classic Reprint written by Louis N. Wilson and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2016-08-27 with total page 22 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Suggestions for the Preparation of the M. A. Thesis The typewriting will be much simplified if the candidate will avoid the use of foot-notes. With the use of a bibliography all references to literature cited have been provided for as shown on p. 6. The use of footnotes has of late years been much abused in scientific papers; indeed, some writers seem to think that a pro fusion of foot-notes in itself indicates a scholarly article. But, after all, if the foot-note matter is of value why not embody it in the text of the article? If it has no value, or but little, leave it out. It requires some planning on the part of the typist to leave just the proper amount of space at the foot of a typewritten page for foot-notes and this is even more difficult when, as in this case, the writing is confined within a border. The candidate is strongly urged, therefore, not to use them at all in the Master's thesis. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book on Thesis Writing for Master’s and Ph.D. program focuses on the difficulties students encounter with regard to choosing a guide; selecting an appropriate research title considering the available resources; conducting research; and ways to overcome the hardships they face while researching, writing and preparing their dissertation for submission. Thesis writing is an essential skill that medical and other postgraduates are expected to learn during their academic career as a mandatory partial requirement in order to receive the Master’s degree. However, at the majority of medical schools, writing a thesis is largely based on self-learning, which adds to the burden on students due to the tremendous amount of time spent learning the writing skills in addition to their exhausting clinical and academic work. Due to the difficulties faced during the early grooming years and lack of adequate guidance, acquiring writing skills continues to be a daunting task for most students. This book addresses these difficulties and deficiencies and provides comprehensive guidance, from selecting the research title to publishing in a scientific journal.

Book The Discipline of Market Leaders

Download or read book The Discipline of Market Leaders written by Michael Treacy and published by Basic Books. This book was released on 2007-03-20 with total page 175 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The classic bestseller outlining tactics for any business striving to achieve market dominance What does your company do better than anyone else? What unique value do you provide to your customers? How will you increase that value next year? Drawing on in-depth studies and interviews with the top CEOs in the country, renowned business strategists Michael Treacy and Fred Wiersema reveal that successful companies do not attempt to be everything to everyone. Instead, they win customers by mastering one of three "value disciplines": the highest quality products, the lowest prices, or the best customer experiences. From FedEx to Walmart, the companies that relentlessly focused on a single discipline not only thrived but dominated their industries, while once powerful corporations that didn't get the message, from Kodak to IBM, faltered. Presented in disarmingly simple and provocative terms, The Discipline of Market Leaders shows what it takes to become a leader in your market, and stay there, in an ever more sophisticated and demanding world.
