Part of the problem is that such objects are scattered about in various collections and museums and can be difficult to access. Another is that most scholars do not have ready knowledge 1of the general nature and history of the type of objects (postcards, badges, sashes, toys, ceramics, sheet music, etc.) that suffragists produced. Then-new techniques in both printing and manufacturing created numerous possibilities for supporters to develop campaigns of "visual rhetoric." This work analyzes 70 different categories of suffrage memorabilia, while providing numerous images of relevant objects along the way and discussing these innovative production methods. Jason Haslam examines the ways in which these writers reconfigure subjectivity and its relation to social power structures, especially the prison structure itself, while also detailing the relationship between prison and slave narratives. Specifically, Haslam reads texts by Henry David Thoreau, Harriet Jacobs, Oscar Wilde, Martin Luther King, Jr., Constance Lytton, and Breyten Breytenbach to find the commonalities and divergences in their stories. While the relationship between prison and subjectivity has been mapped by Michel Foucault and defined as a strategic distribution of elements that act to exercise a power of normalization, Haslam demonstrates some of the complex connections and dissonances between these elements and the resistances to them. Each work shows how carceral practices can be used to attack a variety of identifications, be they sexual, racial, economic, or any of a variety of social categories. By analysing the works of specific prison writers but not being limited to a single locale or narrow time span, Fitting Sentences offers a significant historical and global overview of a unique genre in literature.

Brand loyalty is significant for the business growth and expansion of companies in the electronics sector. A populated country, Bangladesh has a substantial expenditure on electronic appliances, and the demand for these household items increases over the period; however, customers are not always loyal to a particular brand. Marketing literature shows that customer satisfaction and brand confidence directly affect brand loyalty, and brand trust mediates their relationship. Due to the technological advance of social media, technology has an essential role in the customer's decision to buy household appliances. The existing literature has not focused on this massive demand for electronic appliances, customer satisfaction, loyalty, trust, and social media's significant role in consumer buying behavior. The book shoed the investigation of the effect of customer satisfaction and brand trust of electronic home appliances on brand loyalty and the mediating role of brand trust in customer satisfaction and trust relationship. The study also examined the extent to which customers believe social media information influences them. The study gathered data from 523 Bangladeshi respondents from Dhaka by conducting a survey. The data were analyzed with SPSS and CB-SEM (AMOS) for the hypothesis test. The findings revealed that customer satisfaction and brand trust significantly impact brand loyalty, and social media moderates those significant relationships. The result of the study contributed to the expectancy-disconfirmation theory, trust-commitment theory, brand loyalty theory, and theory of reasoned action by presenting empirically-based insight into customer satisfaction, brand trust, and brand loyalty constructs in electronic home appliances in Bangladesh. In addition, the results provided a practical insight into marketing and brand management. They suggested the practicing managers in developing product quality with customer preference, building trust through maintaining brand image and creating awareness among the customers, and considering the significance of social media and its usage. The research used probabilistic sampling techniques, both rural and urban customers, only a single home appliance, and PLS-SEM statistical tool for analysis. Future researchers could focus and include other variables such as price or advertising; consider loyalty separately, and use both urban and rural customers to have better predictions.

The extreme polarization that resulted from pitting capitalism against communism held most of the creative and productive energy of the twentieth century captive. Many artists responded to Cold War struggles by engaging in activist art practice, using creative expression to mobilize social change. The Art of Solidarity examines how these creative practices in the arts and culture contributed to transnational solidarity campaigns that connected people across the Americas from the early twentieth century through the Cold War and its immediate aftermath. This collection of original essays is divided into four chronological sections: cultural and artistic production in the pre–Cold War era that set the stage for transnational solidarity organizing; early artistic responses to the rise of Cold War polarization and state repression; the centrality of cultural and artistic production in social movements of solidarity; and solidarity activism beyond movements. Essay topics range widely across regions and social groups, from the work of lesbian activists in Mexico City in the late 1970s and 1980s, to the exchanges and transmissions of folk-music practices from Cuba to the United States, to the uses of Chilean arpilleras to oppose and protest the military dictatorship. While previous studies have focused on politically engaged artists or examined how artist communities have created solidarity movements, this book is one of the first to merge both perspectives.
