Free booze and plenty of women to spare, but what's a grizzly to do when the party is over? Find a mate! Sexy librarian Luna Sylvetro is going to wear his mark and warm his bed. But first he has to put the Desert Dogs MC in their place because everyone knows you never come between a grizzly and his mate. Book 2 - Crash and Burn, tiger shifter twins, patched into the Steel Riders M.C. when they were twenty. When a woman betrays the club, and the trail leads to the Double Deuces, it's time to exact some revenge. They just never counted on their mate being held captive by the rival club. Book 3 - Babysitting duty. How could he possibly have been so unlucky? Spark is certain the fates are out to get him when the Pres gives him the news. But when the princess of the Silver Skulls comes waltzing through the door, all flirtatious smiles and a bit of sass, he realizes he's in an entirely different kind of trouble. *This set contains the previously published books of Blaze, Crash & Burn, and Spark. Download or read book Mechanics and Chemistry in Lubrication written by A. Dorinson and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 1985-08-01 with total page 651 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although it is widely recognized that friction, wear and lubrication are linked together in a single interdisciplinary complex of scientific learning and technological practice, fragmented and specialized approaches still predominate. In this book, the authors examine lubrication from an interdisciplinary viewpoint. They demonstrate that once the treatment of lubrication is released from the confines of the fluid film concept, this interdisciplinary approach comes into full play. Tribological behavior in relation to lubrication is then examined from two major points of view: one is mechanical, not only with respect to the properties and behavior of the lubricant but also of the surfaces being lubricated. The other is chemical and encompasses the chemistry of the lubricant, the surfaces and the ambient surroundings. It is in the emphasis on the interaction of the basic mechanical and chemical processes in lubrication that this book differs from conventional treatments.

Download or read book Steaming into a Victorian Future written by Julie Anne Taddeo and published by Scarecrow Press. This book was released on 2012-09-20 with total page 361 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A popular sub-genre of fantasy and science fiction, steampunk re-imagines the Victorian age in the future, and re-works its technology, fashion, and values with a dose of anti-modernism. While often considered solely through the lens of literature, steampunk is, in fact, a complex phenomenon that also affects, transforms, and unites a wide range of disciplines, such as art, music, film, television, fashion, new media, and material culture. In Steaming into a Victorian Future: A Steampunk Anthology, Julie Anne Taddeo and Cynthia J. Miller have assembled a collection of essays that consider the social and cultural aspects of this multi-faceted genre. The essays included in this volume examine various manifestations of steampunk—both separately and in relation to each other—in order to better understand the steampunk sub-culture and its effect on—and interrelationship with—popular culture and the wider society. This volume expands and extends existing scholarship on steampunk in order to explore many previously unconsidered questions about cultural creativity, social networking, fandom, appropriation, and the creation of meaning. With a foreword by popular culture scholar Ken Dvorak, and an afterword by steampunk expert Jeff VanderMeer, Steaming into a Victorian Future offers a wide ranging look at the impact of steampunk, as well as the individuals who create, interpret, and consume it.
