This book was released on 2018-07-18 with total page 40 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Approvals and Promulgations - California - Infrastructure Requirements for Ozone (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Approvals and Promulgations - California - Infrastructure Requirements for Ozone (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is partially approving and partially disapproving several State Implementation Plan (SIP) revisions submitted by the State of California pursuant to the requirements of the Clean Air Act (CAA or the Act) for the implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for ozone, fine particulate patter (PM 2.5), lead (Pb), nitrogen dioxide (NO 2), and sulfur dioxide (SO 2). We refer to such SIP revisions as "infrastructure" SIPs because they are intended to address basic structural SIP requirements for new or revised NAAQS including, but not limited to, legal authority, regulatory structure, resources, permit programs, and monitoring necessary to assure attainment and maintenance of the standards. In addition, we are reclassifying certain regions of the state for emergency episode planning purposes with respect to ozone, NO 2, SO 2, and particulate matter (PM). Finally, we are approving into the California SIP several state provisions addressing CAA conflict of interest requirements and an emergency episode planning rule for Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District for PM. Updated as of May 29, 2018 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is finalizing a limited approval and limited disapproval of a revision to the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD) portion of the California State Implementation Plan (SIP). This regulation establishes requirements and procedures for the District's quantification of emission reductions achieved through incentive funding programs implemented in the San Joaquin Valley. The effect of this action would be to make these requirements and procedures federally enforceable as part of the California SIP. Under authority of the Clean Air Act (CAA or the Act), this action simultaneously approves the local rule and directs California to correct rule deficiencies. Book Air Quality State Implementation Plans Approvals and Promulgations Texas Revision of Federal Implementation Plan Requirements Us Environmental Protection Agency Regulation Epa 2018 Edition

Download or read book Air Quality State Implementation Plans Approvals and Promulgations Texas Revision of Federal Implementation Plan Requirements Us Environmental Protection Agency Regulation Epa 2018 Edition written by The Law The Law Library and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-07-18 with total page 56 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Approvals and Promulgations - Texas - Revision of Federal Implementation Plan Requirements (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Approvals and Promulgations - Texas - Revision of Federal Implementation Plan Requirements (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is finalizing withdrawal of the federal implementation plan (FIP) provisions that require affected electricity generating units (EGUs) in Texas to participate in Phase 2 of the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR) trading programs for annual emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO 2) and nitrogen oxides (NO X). Withdrawal of the FIP requirements is intended to address a decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (D.C. Circuit) remanding the CSAPR Phase 2 SO 2 budget for Texas to the EPA for reconsideration. With this action, the EPA is also determining that, following withdrawal of the FIP requirements, sources in Texas do not contribute significantly to nonattainment in, or interfere with maintenance by, any other state with regard to the 1997 national ambient air quality standard (NAAQS) for fine particulate matter (PM 2.5). Accordingly, we are also determining that the EPA has no obligation to issue new FIP requirements for Texas sources to address transported PM 2.5 pollution under Clean Air Act (CAA) section 110(a)(2)(D)(i)(I) with regard to that NAAQS. Finally, the EPA is also affirming the continued validity of the Agency's 2012 determination that participation in CSAPR meets the Regional Haze Rule's criteria for an alternative to the application of source-specific best available retrofit technology (BART). The EPA has determined that changes to CSAPR's geographic scope resulting from the actions EPA has taken or expects to take in response to the D.C. Circuit's remand do not affect the continued validity of participation in CSAPR as a BART alternative, because the changes in geographic scope would not have adversely affected the results of the air quality modeling analysis upon which the EPA based the 2012 determination. This book was released on 2018-07-18 with total page 358 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Approvals, Disapprovals and Promulgations - Wyoming - Regional Haze State Implementation Plan (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Approvals, Disapprovals and Promulgations - Wyoming - Regional Haze State Implementation Plan (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is partially approving and partially disapproving a State Implementation Plan (SIP) submitted by the State of Wyoming on January 12, 2011, that addresses regional haze. This SIP was submitted to address the requirements of the Clean Air Act (CAA or "the Act") and rules that require states to address in specific ways any existing anthropogenic impairment of visibility in mandatory Class I areas caused by emissions of air pollutants from numerous sources located over a wide geographic area (also referred to as the "regional haze program"). States are required to assure reasonable progress toward the national goal of achieving natural visibility conditions in Class I areas. EPA is approving several aspects of Wyoming's regional haze SIP that we had proposed to disapprove in our June 10, 2013 proposed rule in light of public comments and newly available information indicating the adequacy of the SIP with respect to those aspects. EPA is also approving some aspects of the State's SIP that we proposed to approve. EPA is promulgating a Federal Implementation Plan (FIP) to address some of the deficiencies identified in our proposed partial disapproval of Wyoming's regional haze SIP issued on June 10, 2013. EPA is taking this action pursuant to sections 110 and 169A of the CAA. Book excerpt: LA059.048 LA057.08 Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Approval and Promulgation - Louisiana - Regional Haze State Implementation Plan, Final rule (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the LA059.048 LA057.08 Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Approval and Promulgation - Louisiana - Regional Haze State Implementation Plan, Final rule (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 Pursuant to the Federal Clean Air Act (CAA or the Act), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is finalizing an approval of revisions to the Louisiana State Implementation Plan (SIP) submitted by the State of Louisiana through the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) that address regional haze for the first planning period. LDEQ submitted these revisions to address the requirements of the Clean Air Act (CAA) and the EPA's rules that require states to prevent any future and remedy any existing anthropogenic impairment of visibility in mandatory Class I areas (national parks and wilderness areas) caused by emissions of air pollutants from numerous sources located over a wide geographic area (also referred to as the "regional haze program"). To address the Best Available Retrofit Technology (BART) requirement for sulfur dioxide (SO 2), oxides of nitrogen (NO X) and particulate matter (PM), the EPA is finalizing approval of source-by-source BART determinations for certain electric generating and non-electric generating units. To address the BART requirement for NO X for electric generating units, we are finalizing our proposed determination that Louisiana's participation in the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule's (CSAPR) trading program for ozone-season NO X qualifies as an alternative to BART. Book Air Quality State Implementation Plans Approvals and Promulgations Fine Particulate Matter National Ambient Air Quality Standards Us Environmental Protection Agency Regulation Epa 2018 Edition

Download or read book Air Quality State Implementation Plans Approvals and Promulgations Fine Particulate Matter National Ambient Air Quality Standards Us Environmental Protection Agency Regulation Epa 2018 Edition written by The Law The Law Library and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-07-18 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Approvals and Promulgations - Fine Particulate Matter National Ambient Air Quality Standards (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Approvals and Promulgations - Fine Particulate Matter National Ambient Air Quality Standards (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is finalizing requirements that state, local and tribal air agencies would have to meet as they implement the current and future national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for fine particulate matter (PM 2.5). Specifically, this document provides details on meeting the statutory state implementation plan (SIP) requirements that apply to areas designated nonattainment for any PM 2.5 NAAQS, such as: General requirements for attainment plan due dates and attainment dates; emissions inventories; attainment demonstrations; provisions for demonstrating reasonable further progress; quantitative milestones; contingency measures; and nonattainment New Source Review (NNSR) permitting programs, among other things. This rule clarifies the specific attainment planning requirements that apply to PM 2.5 NAAQS nonattainment areas based on their classification (either Moderate or Serious), and the process for reclassifying Moderate areas to Serious. Additionally, in this document the EPA is revoking the 1997 primary annual standard for areas designated as attainment for that standard because the EPA revised the primary annual standard in 2012. The EPA first established the PM 2.5 NAAQS in 1997, completed a review and revision of those standards in 2006, and most recently completed a review and revision of the PM 2.5 NAAQS on December 14, 2012.
