Book Star Trek Kirk Fu Manual

Download or read book Star Trek Kirk Fu Manual written by Dayton Ward and published by Insight Editions. This book was released on 2020-03-03 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In unabashed celebration of Captain James T. Kirk’s singular fighting skills, Star Trek: Kirk Fu Manual is every Starfleet cadet's must-have training guide for surviving the final frontier. As captain of the legendary U.S.S. Enterprise, James T. Kirk engaged in his share of fisticuffs, besting opponents with a slick combination of moves and guile that remains unmatched. Is there anyone you’d rather have watching your back as you take on Klingons, alien gladiators, genetically engineered supermen, and even the occasional giant walking reptile? Kirk Fu is a series of unarmed combat techniques developed by one of Starfleet’s most celebrated starship captains over several years of encounters with alien species on any number of strange new worlds. A blend of various fighting styles, Kirk Fu incorporates elements of several Earth-based martial arts forms as well as cruder methods employed in bars and back alleys on planets throughout the galaxy. It is as unorthodox in practice as it is unbelievable to behold. Including excerpts from Kirk’s own notes and personal logs, the Star Trek: Kirk Fu Manual is the perfect training guide for surviving the depths of space. With proper training and practice, every Starfleet cadet can become one with Kirk Fu.

Book Klingon Bird of Prey Haynes Manual

Download or read book Klingon Bird of Prey Haynes Manual written by Ben Robinson and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2012-11-06 with total page 63 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An all-new Star Trek technical manual of the legendary Klingon Bird of Prey, presented in the world-renowned Haynes Manual format! The Bird-of-Prey is the classic Klingon starship—a tough raiding and scouting vessel that has served at the heart of the Klingon Defense Force for more than a hundred years. Life on board is harsh and brutal, with any sign of weakness leading to a challenge to the death. The ship itself is stripped back and lean, with everything designed for a single purpose—war. This Haynes Manual traces the origins of a Bird-of-Prey from the moment it is commissioned by one of the Great Houses and constructed at the shipyards of the Klingon Naval Academy. It then proceeds to examine General Martok’s famous ship the I.K.S. Rotarran in unprecedented detail. Featuring a stunning cutaway drawing and, for the first time ever, detailed deck plans and incredible new computer-generated artwork, the Haynes Bird-of-Prey Manual is a technical tour of the ship’s systems, from the bridge and engineering rooms to the disruptors, torpedo launcher, and the all-important cloaking device. In addition, the Manual provides a unique insight into life on board a Klingon ship and the Rotarran’s glorious history in the Dominion War. This Haynes Manual is fully authorized by CBS. All the new artwork has been designed by STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION and STAR TREK: VOYAGER’s senior illustrator Rick Sternbach, who is the world’s leading expert on STAR TREK technology, with CG renders produced by STAR TREK VFX artist Adam ‘Mojo’ Lebowitz.

Book Star Trek Technical Manual

    Book Details:
  • Author : Matti Charlton
  • Publisher :
  • Release : 1992-05-06
  • ISBN : 9781652065005
  • Pages : 81 pages

Download or read book Star Trek Technical Manual written by Matti Charlton and published by . This book was released on 1992-05-06 with total page 81 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Yes, there are a great deal of errors in this unofficial technical manual produced in 1992 in Canada. And the drawings, while extensive across its 80 pages. But the astounding fact about this Star Trek Technical Manual is that it was made entirely by an 11 year old boy, in the early 1990s before any semblance of the internet was around. Astonishing to examine, the detailed documentation and original technical drawings in this book betray a creative skill to the 11 year old author well beyond their years. A wonderful and nostalgic examination of the Star Trek universe from the perspective of a child just as Star Trek: The Next Generation's popularity peaked in popular culture (and pre-Deep Space Nine). The amazing talent that oozes from this book more than make up for the errors and incompleteness. The author wrote and published the original manuscript themselves using an Apple Macintosh Classic computer and most of the drawings and text were completed in MacDraw and MacWrite, respectively. Digitized and reproduced with the author's permission. Enjoy!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On the cusp of their epic battle with Shinzon, many of Captain Jean-Luc Picard's long-time crew were heading for new assignments and new challenges. Among the changes were William Riker's promotion to captain and his new command, Riker's marriage to Counselor Deanna Troi, and Dr. Beverly Crusher's new career at Starfleet Medical. But the story of what set them on a path away from the Starship Enterprise™ has never been told. UNTIL NOW. The recurring blood feuds between the Bader and the Dorset ended mysteriously a century ago when both races colonized the planet Delta Sigma IV. But, unknown until now, it was a reaction to a naturally occurring gas that led to their harmonious existence...a reaction that would eventually mean certain death for the planet's inhabitants. What the Enterprise crew believed was a cure for the population -- a treatment introduced into Delta Sigma IV's environment by Kyle Riker, a man at odds with his son, Commander William Riker -- has instead triggered worldwide carnage, as long-suppressed aggression and hostility are suddenly and violently unleashed. Caught in a world on the brink of self-destruction, Captain Picard -- a man still waging his own personal battle for redemption in the eyes of his commanding officers -- must somehow find a way to resolve this catastrophic event and save his crew, even as the implications of his actions may ultimately doom an entire race....
