Book SOUND LEVEL MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE FOR TRENCHING EQUIPMENT

Download or read book SOUND LEVEL MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE FOR TRENCHING EQUIPMENT written by SLTC - Earth Moving Machinery Sound Level and published by . This book was released on 1979 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All types of trenching equipment regardless of engine size may be tested under this recommended practice. It is not intended to cover operation of safety devices such as backup alarms or accessories such as paving breakers. The sound levels obtained by using the test procedures set forth in this SAE Recommended Practice are repeatable and are representative of the higher range of sound levels generated by the machinery under actual field operating conditions, but do not necessarily represent the average sound level over a field use cycle. For measurement and calculation of the operator's sound exposure, the procedure should follow the SAE Recommended Practice J1166a.

Book EXTERIOR SOUND LEVEL MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE FOR SELF PROPELLED AGRICULTURAL FIELD EQUIPMENT

Download or read book EXTERIOR SOUND LEVEL MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE FOR SELF PROPELLED AGRICULTURAL FIELD EQUIPMENT written by SLTC - Earth Moving Machinery Sound Level and published by . This book was released on 1978 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This SAE Recommended Practice sets forth the instrumentation and procedures to be used in measuring exterior sound levels of self-propelled agricultural field equipment of 15 kW (20 net engine hp) or greater. It is not intended to cover operation of safety devices (such as alarms), or equipment used primarily in stationary operation. The sound levels obtained by using this test procedure are repeatable and representative of the higher range of sound levels generated by the machine in normal road transport. The sound levels are not intended to represent the average or equivalent sound levels over a field use cycle.

Book Sound Measurement Off Road Self Propelled Work Machines Operator Work Cycle

Download or read book Sound Measurement Off Road Self Propelled Work Machines Operator Work Cycle written by SLTC - Earth Moving Machinery Sound Level and published by . This book was released on 1990 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This SAE Standard sets forth the procedures to be used in measuring sound levels and determining the time weighted sound level at the operator's stations of specified off-road self-propelled work machines. This document applies to the following work machines which have operator stations as specified in SAE J1116. Crawler Loader Wheel Loader Dumper Tractor Scraper Grader Crawler Tractor with Dozer Wheel Tractor with Dozer Pad Foot Wheel Compactor with Dozer Backhoe Hydraulic Excavator Log Skidder Excavator & Wheel Feller-Buncher Pipelayer Roller/Compactor Trencher The instrumentation requirements and specific work cycles for these machines are described. The method used to calculate the time weighted average sound level at the operator station(s) is specified for Leq(5)(sub), or optional exchange rates, during continuous operation in a work cycle. A method to relate the time weighted average sound level at the operator station(s) to operator sound exposure is also provided.

Book Bystander Sound Level Measurement Procedure for Small Engine Powered Equipment

Download or read book Bystander Sound Level Measurement Procedure for Small Engine Powered Equipment written by Small Engine and Powered Equipment Committee and published by . This book was released on 2012 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This SAE Recommended Practice establishes the instrumentation and procedure to be used in measuring the bystandard sound level of engine powered equipment under 15 kW (20 bhp) typical of their normal operation. It is intended to include equipment such as lawn mowers, snow blowers, and tillers. It is not intended to include equipment designed primarily for operation on highways or within factories and buildings, or vehicles such as motorcycles, snowmobiles, and pleasure motorboats that are covered by other SAE Standards or Recommended Practices. This procedure does not cover chain saws. The SAE Recommended Practice may also be used when measuring the bystander sound level on similar equipment powered by electricity or other power sources. This pass-by noise procedure was developed in the 1970's. It has never been widely accepted. With the development of stationary sound power procedures used in EU countries there is no longer a need for this document.
