Book Will Travel for Trouble Books 4 6

Download or read book Will Travel for Trouble Books 4 6 written by Minnie Crockwell and published by Minnie Crockwell. This book was released on with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Together in one set, Books 4-6 of tWill Travel for Trouble series of short cozy mysteries! Trouble at Hungry Horse, Book 4: Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, no sooner leaves Glacier National Park than she encounters some trouble with her RV and tow car, necessitating an unexpected layover at a campground in the nearby small town of Hungry Horse, Montana. Within an hour of checking in, however, a gunshot rings out, and Minnie finds herself on her hands and knees hiding under a park bench. But the shot wasn't meant for her. In fact, no one can even find the shooter or a gun. Peregrine Ebenezer (Ben) Alvord, Minnie's nineteenth-century ghost traveling companion, knows that someone at the campground has been murdered, but not by a gunshot. It seems everyone hated the victim. Everyone! The question is who hated the victim enough to kill her? Minnie just wants to get her RV fixed and get on the road, but she soon finds herself immersed in the repercussions of a decades-old tragedy. Trouble at Snake and Clearwater, Book 5: Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, receives a call from her niece, Tiffany, who has recently moved from Arizona to Washington to be with her boyfriend. Lonely in a new area, Tiffany asks Aunt Minnie to stop by for a visit. Minnie, on the road in her RV just north in Spokane and hoping to head south to warmer climates for the winter, adjusts her travel plans and heads south to the small city of Clarkston, Washington, at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers. Finding a wonderful RV site with a panoramic view of the Snake River, Minnie settles in for a short, relaxing visit with her niece. Binoculars in hand, she admires the scenery—from the golden hills across the river to the fishermen trolling in boats. The beauty of the scene is marred though, when one fisherman disappears from his boat right before her eyes. Peregrine Ebenezer (Ben) Alvord, Minnie's nineteenth-century ghost traveling companion, can do nothing to save the man from drowning. In fact, he can't even find him. But search and rescue teams do finally locate poor Jim Olson, only to discover that he didn't die by drowning. Everyone liked Jim Olson, everyone except the person who killed him. Minnie vows to stay out of this murder investigation, but she feels responsible since she was the last person to see him alive. Besides the killer, that is. Trouble in Florence, Book 6: Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, is heading south to warmer climates by way of Highway 101, also known as the Oregon Coast Highway and Pacific Highway. She stops for a few days in the quaint little seaside town of Florence, Oregon, for a stay at the Tuscan Sands RV Park. Although the park hardly lives up to its evocative name, the sand dunes of the Florence beaches most certainly do. When in Florence... Minnie wastes no time heading to the beach for a walk with her nineteenth-century ghost companion, Peregrine Ebenezer (Ben) Alvord. Even if it is the middle of December. Less people on the beach though, right? What could be more relaxing than walking on a nearly deserted Pacific Northwest beach? But the dangerous and erratic driver of a blue Jeep, the fierce coastal storm that sweeps through overnight, a barking dog that paws at the sand, and the discovery of a body partially submerged beneath a log on the beach all conspire to take the relax out of relaxing. Against her will and Ben's words of caution, Minnie cannot help but try to solve the mystery of the Trouble in Florence.

Book A Rise to Grace

Download or read book A Rise to Grace written by Dorothy Rivera and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2019-08-26 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Morgan was always the kind, funny, and adventurous kid from the time he was a small child to his early adulthood. Making people laugh was his favorite thing to do. Friends always wanted to hang out with him and so did the girls. He could light up a room wherever he went, and everyone just loved him. He couldn't pass someone who was hungry without feeding them, or helping the elderly lady on the side of the road with a flat tire, and especially sticking up for others that weren't able to stick up for themselves. He loved life and loved people. Every day seemed to be an adventure for him. He craved the camaraderie with his peers and had more friends than he could count. Then one night, he suddenly didn't return home, which wasn't like him. He had been at a friend's house he knew and had spent the night. The next day, there was a notable difference in his demeanor, and it eventually came to light that he had started using heroin when a friend prodded him, telling him it would make him feel awesome if he tried it. That was the start of darkness and despair. Suddenly, he was stealing from the family and then from others. The mood swings were horrible and scary. He was beaten by others that walked the same path, and even his family became afraid of him. His parents tried to get him into rehab, and it worked for a few days, but then, he'd go back to it and use even more. He died once from an overdose and was brought back. Will he succeed next time? His journey took another turn, and he ended up in jail where drugs are even more plentiful. It seemed like this darkness was never-ending.

An owl's ominous call reminds her that she is in Baxter State Park, and not at the scene of her husband's death. Jessie attempts to shake off the horror as she prepares to climb Maine's tallest mountain with her son, Jonathan; her college friend, Dara Kane; and her neighbor's two daughters, Gina Day and Willa Royce. No sooner does Jessie crawl from her shelter, than an unpleasant woman explodes from another lean-to. Fitness star Veronica Verne rages against the wildlife that most visitors to the park come to see. She vents her fury at innocent bystanders because the boss who sent her here to be filmed climbing Katahdin is back in Boston. By the time Verne begins her hike, she has left a number of upset people in her wake. During her climb, Verne spies someone she's unwilling to face so she turns back towards Katahdin Stream Campground. She is never again seen alive. It is Jessie's displeasure to be among those who find Veronica Verne floating face-down in a pool of water at the base of Katahdin Stream Falls. Once it becomes evident that Veronica Verne was murdered, local and state police are called in.
