We fail to realize, we are all being and have been manipulated from kindergarten to adulthood to serve government or other people's purposes. Social engineering as it is currently practiced is an ad-hock social manipulation and construct. The effects of a lot of social engineering have harmed society, because these social manipulators did not consider the long-term often detrimental consequences the many forms of manipulation have invoked in their attempts to control society.
