Book excerpt: Smile aims is to promote health and ease sufferings and offers sensible solutions for life’s problems! If understood with an open mind, may upgrade one to any level. The mind takes initiative in all activities and the body follows that! Emotions are stronger than physical matter. Corrections of emotional misbalance lead to harmony on the physical level. Smile is the strength that stays in the very moment like the verses of imagination whenever one perceives in the interaction with another and the joy becomes an infinite spirit of living. In religion, one remains as a Hindu, Mohammedan or Christian and so on, as we are afraid because our religion is based on beliefs. So, everybody is trying to protect their flock by encountering others. When anyone feels, there is religious fragrance but no religion as such; that is total freedom. Liberation is practically possible in the ‘smile’ state, beyond any belief.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Raised by a wealthy European couple in Bayville, New York, Zane struggled in his toddler and teen years with the nihilist philosophy on the meaningless of life because death was the ultimate result. With these thoughts gradually building a suicidal mind-set, Zane searched high and low for answers and sought the importance of life if there was one. Growing up, he had been conditioned by an Israeli soldier hired by his parents to train him in the arts of Krav Maga to ward off bullies and enemies during his school years. However, this would prove to become his biggest hurdle. After being denied truth from his own parents, he rebelled against them intellectually; and after inheriting a fortune from their wealth after their deaths, he used it to build a church after coming to faith. Being accused by many Christian leaders of being a false teacher for his faith-only stances, a man was sent to address him in person. He later failed to lay his life down for the crown given to those who did. Also discovering the truth of his origins, he then realized there were more answers that needed to be sought. Although he still maintained his philosophy that life was truly meaningless, instead of seeking death without purpose, he now sought death with purpose and chose to embark on his journey for martyrdom, redemption, truth, and another shot at the crown of life.

Book Introduction The Old Regime of Teeth The Smile of Sensibility Cometh the Dentist The Making of a Revolution The Transient Smile Revolution Beyond the Smile Revolution Postscript Towards the Twentieth Century Smile Revolution Notes Index

Download or read book Introduction The Old Regime of Teeth The Smile of Sensibility Cometh the Dentist The Making of a Revolution The Transient Smile Revolution Beyond the Smile Revolution Postscript Towards the Twentieth Century Smile Revolution Notes Index written by Colin Jones and published by Oxford University Press, USA. This book was released on 2014 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: You could be forgiven for thinking that the smile has no history; it has always been the same. However, just as different cultures in our own day have different rules about smiling, so did different societies in the past. In fact, amazing as it might seem, it was only in late eighteenth century France that western civilization discovered the art of the smile. In the 'Old Regime of Teeth' which prevailed in western Europe until then, smiling was quite literally frowned upon. Individuals were fatalistic about tooth loss, and their open mouths would often have been visually repulsive. Rules of conduct dating back to Antiquity disapproved of the opening of the mouth to express feelings in most social situations. Open and unrestrained smiling was associated with the impolite lower orders. In late eighteenth-century Paris, however, these age-old conventions changed, reflecting broader transformations in the way people expressed their feelings. This allowed the emergence of the modern smile par excellence: the open-mouthed smile which, while highlighting physical beauty and expressing individual identity, revealed white teeth. It was a transformation linked to changing patterns of politeness, new ideals of sensibility, shifts in styles of self-presentation - and, not least, the emergence of scientific dentistry. These changes seemed to usher in a revolution, a revolution in smiling. Yet if the French revolutionaries initially went about their business with a smile on their faces, the Reign of Terror soon wiped it off. Only in the twentieth century would the white-tooth smile re-emerge as an accepted model of self-presentation. In this entertaining, absorbing, and highly original work of cultural history, Colin Jones ranges from the history of art, literature, and culture to the history of science, medicine, and dentistry, to tell a unique and untold story about a facial expression at the heart of western civilization.

Download or read book Smile of Joy written by Thomas G Casey and published by Messenger Publications. This book was released on 2021-04-01 with total page 104 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It’s amazing to think that the first smile Jesus ever gave was in response to Mary’s smile. It must have been an extraordinary moment: her son was smiling at her, and it was God smiling at her too. This book looks at Mary, this extraordinary woman who is “the cause of our joy” because she brought us the greatest joy of all: Jesus. She was full of joy because she was full of gratitude, gladly acknowledging the fullness of grace that God had given her. Her deep joy overflowed when she visited her cousin Elizabeth: “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit exults in God my Saviour”. But this Magnificat song wasn’t just a once-off song of praise: the reason it came to Mary’s lips so easily was because it was her usual way of praying. She constantly thanked God for the gifts he had given her. Whatever the circumstances, Mary had the deep inner conviction that “all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well” as Julian of Norwich was later to express it. Many of us seek joy outside of ourselves, in food and drink, or in riches and reputations. But Mary found an inner joy that came from encountering God, a joy that was immeasurably greater than any material joy. And by giving Mary a place in our hearts, we can find true joy in God as well.
