Book Out of Body Exploring

Download or read book Out of Body Exploring written by Preston Dennett and published by Hampton Roads Publishing. This book was released on 2004-08-31 with total page 201 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Everything you’ve always wanted to know about OBEs, but were afraid to ask. If you have wanted to have an outofbody experience, but were intimidated by books on the subject, OutofBody Exploring is for you! This is an entryleveltoexpert bookeverything from what OBEs are, to how you can have your own anytime you want. Preston Dennett began his explorations beyond the physical body nearly twenty years ago in an attempt to contact his deceased mother. Thousands of OBEs later (OBEs lasting anywhere from a few seconds to several hours) he turns his attention from mastering the art to helping others. OutofBody Exploring includes Dennett’s initial forays into expanded consciousness, sharing the techniques he experimented with, and discussing the people and sightsboth strange and familiarthat he encountered along the way. Plus, he offers tips on how to go reliably outofbody, and how to control and maintain this enhanced level of awareness for extended periods. This is a guidebook to a whole new world. Why wait any longer to explore it?

Book Small Body Exploration Technologies as Precursors for Interstellar Robotics

Download or read book Small Body Exploration Technologies as Precursors for Interstellar Robotics written by and published by . This book was released on 2012 with total page 16 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The scientific activities undertaken to explore our Solar System will be the same as required someday at other stars. The systematic exploration of primitive small bodies throughout our Solar System requires new technologies for autonomous robotic spacecraft. These diverse celestial bodies contain clues to the early stages of the Solar System's evolution as well as information about the origin and transport of water-rich and organic material, the essential building blocks for life. They will be among the first objects studied at distant star systems. The technologies developed to address small body and outer planet exploration will form much of the technical basis for designing interstellar robotic explorers. The Small Bodies Assessment Group, which reports to NASA, initiated a Technology Forum in 2011 that brought together scientists and technologists to discuss the needs and opportunities for small body robotic exploration in the Solar System. Presentations and discussions occurred in the areas of mission and spacecraft design, electric power, propulsion, avionics, communications, autonomous navigation, remote sensing and surface instruments, sampling, intelligent event recognition, and command and sequencing software. In this paper, the major technology themes from the Technology Forum are reviewed, and suggestions are made for developments that will have the largest impact on realizing autonomous robotic vehicles capable of exploring other star systems.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is not intended as a medical textbook, but rather as an accessible guide for individuals who want to learn more about the human body and how it works. Whether you are a medical professional, a student, or simply someone who is interested in learning more about the human body, this book will provide you with valuable insights and information. In each chapter, we will explore the most common health issues that affect each body part, including their symptoms, causes, and potential treatment options. We will also discuss preventative measures and lifestyle changes that can help to keep these body parts healthy and functioning properly.

Book Exploring the Body

Download or read book Exploring the Body written by S. Cunningham-Burley and published by Springer. This book was released on 2001-09-24 with total page 264 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume explores diverse ways of researching and theorizing the body. It draws together a range of empirical work on different themes, each taking the body and its study as its central problematic. It creatively combines contributions on disability, illness, scars, sleep, complementary medicine, running, as well as the lifecourse themes of childhood, youth and death. The different approaches to researching the body examined through these contributions include autobiography, case-studies, interviews and participant observation.

Book Exploring Body Mind Centering

Download or read book Exploring Body Mind Centering written by Gil Wright Miller and published by North Atlantic Books. This book was released on 2011-01-25 with total page 490 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Exploring Body-Mind Centering features 35 essays on Body-Mind Centering (BMC), an experiential practice based on the application of anatomical, physiological, psychophysical, and developmental principles. Using the work of BMC founder Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen as a springboard, the book showcases diverse situations—from medical illness to blocked creativity—in which this discipline is applied with transformative results. Exploring Body-Mind Centering is divided into three sections, preceded by an introduction framing BMC as a pathway to becoming aware of relationships that exist throughout the body and mind and using that awareness to act. The first section lays the groundwork for this process, with real-life experiences and exercises that encourage readers to interact with the text. Section two contains valuable case stories describing the experiences of BMC students and practitioners as they work with clients. Section three shows how BMC can be integrated with other disciplines and practices that include the arts, medicine, and yoga. The book concludes with a biography of Cohen, a profile of the School for Body-Mind Centering, and a history of BMC.

Book Quantum Gas Experiments Exploring Many body States

Download or read book Quantum Gas Experiments Exploring Many body States written by Paivi Torma and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2014-09-16 with total page 339 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Quantum phenomena of many-particle systems are fascinating in their complexity and are consequently not fully understood and largely untapped in terms of practical applications. Ultracold gases provide a unique platform to build up model systems of quantum many-body physics with highly controlled microscopic constituents. In this way, many-body quantum phenomena can be investigated with an unprecedented level of precision, and control and models that cannot be solved with present day computers may be studied using ultracold gases as a quantum simulator. This book addresses the need for a comprehensive description of the most important advanced experimental methods and techniques that have been developed along with the theoretical framework in a clear and applicable format. The focus is on methods that are especially crucial in probing and understanding the many-body nature of the quantum phenomena in ultracold gases and most topics are covered both from a theoretical and experimental viewpoint, with interrelated chapters written by experts from both sides of research.Graduate students and post-doctoral researches working on ultracold gases will benefit from this book, as well as researchers from other fields who wish to gain an overview of the recent fascinating developments in this very dynamically evolving field. Sufficient level of both detailed high level research and a pedagogical approach is maintained throughout the book so as to be of value to those entering the field as well as advanced researchers. Furthermore, both experimentalists and theorists will benefit from the book; close collaboration between the two are continuously driving the field to a very high level and will be strengthened to continue the important progress yet to be made in the field.
