[...] The type of information to be collected would include (1) adjuster flood and wind damage assessments; (2) amount paid for wind and flood elements of the claim; (3) total amount paid to the claimant from all parties as a result of the event; (4) amount paid by the insurer for other flood losses; and (5) total amount paid to the policyholder by the insurer for all flood. [...] Would require the Secretary of Department of Homeland Security, Coordination the Administrator of FEMA, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the heads of each federal department or agency to work together to ensure that flood risk determination data and geospatial data are shared among all federal agencies in order to coordinate the efforts of the nation to reduce its vul [...] The Commission would examine such issues as: (1) the condition of the property and casualty insurance and reinsurance markets prior to and in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Rita, and Wilma in 2005, and the four major hurricanes that struck in 2004; (2) the current ability of states, communities, and individuals to mitigate their natural catastrophe risks, including the affordability and avail.
