Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Amazon is a place of breathtaking beauty, but also one of tremendous danger in which death can take many forms. Few, however, suspected that it would manifest itself in the form of a genetically engineered anaconda of extraordinary size with a ravenous appetite for the things that live on and beneath the river-especially human beings. Among the few scientists who know of the creature’s existence is world renowned cryptozoologist Paul Manhart who, along with his young but intrepid assistant, Sarah Underhill, are on a quest not only to prove the snake’s existence to Brazilian authorities, but persuade them to do something about it before it wreaks havoc among the larger population centers on the Amazon River. The only problem is that Paul Manhart didn’t expect to fall in love with his assistant, nor did he realize the tremendous price their eventual encounter with the beast will cost them, both personally and in blood. An exciting, action-packed fictional novel based on fact! Includes maps and illustrations, a great book to take on your next adventure!

Book excerpt: Something evil is prowling the vast forests of upper Vancouver Island, and it’s not human. A rogue sasquatch that has learned to enjoy hunting humans is on the loose and only one man, self-styled “bigfoot tracker” Jake Verity, knows about it and the danger it poses. Obsessed with killing the beast before it can find its next victim, Verity turns to the world’s foremost–and only–husband and wife team of cryptozoologists, Paul and Sarah Manhart, to help him find the creature and end its reign of terror once and for all. Unfortunately, none of them expect the monster to be as cunning and dangerous as it turns out to be, resulting in a struggle for survival that will pit Paul and Sarah against an abomination of nature more determined and more evil than anything they have ever encountered before. An exciting novel based on conjectured Sasquatch behavior!

Book Contos Folcl ricos Africanos Vol 2

Download or read book Contos Folcl ricos Africanos Vol 2 written by Elphinstone Dayrell and published by Literatura Livre – Sesc São Paulo. This book was released on 2020-01-01 with total page 141 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: An old Tibetan monk has presented Paul and Sarah Manhart—the world’s only husband and wife cryptozoology team—an unusual gift: a claw from a pterosaur Paul identifies to have lived during the time of the dinosaurs. The problem is that the claw is less than sixty years old, enticing them to embark on a expedition to the “rooftop of the world” to see whether others of its kind still roam the rarified air of Tibet. Only they hadn’t bargained on getting caught up in a treacherous game of cat and mouse between the Chinese Army and winged creatures that are as vicious as they are terrifying. Forced to not only fend off creatures capable of killing with a single snap of their jaws but also the efforts of opportunistic Chinese Army officers intent on seeing them dead in an effort to cover up their own nefarious deeds. Fortunately, they find an unlikely ally in the guise of a surly and ruthless colonel named Deng, the only man capable of providing them their only chance at survival—if they aren’t already too late.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Sanctuary Lost Portugal s Air War for Guinea 1961 1974

Download or read book Sanctuary Lost Portugal s Air War for Guinea 1961 1974 written by Matthew M Hurley and published by Helion and Company. This book was released on 2023-11-14 with total page 309 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Based on diverse interpretations of the Real Ceduls (Royal Proclamations) by the Spanish monarchs of earlier centuries, the almost 200-year-old border dispute between Ecuador and Peru became one of the longest-running international armed conflicts in the Western hemisphere. Numerous attempts at a negotiated definition of the borders failed, and the two countries fought at least three wars in the 20th Century. Drawing upon extensive research in the official archives of the Fuerza Aérea del Peru (FAP), and documentation from multiple private sources in Ecuador and Peru, ‘The Air Wars between Ecuador and Peru, Volume 2’ reconstructs the history of the air forces of both nations, and the little-known story of their brief, yet bitter clashes of early 1981. Thanks to the availability of precise details from both parties to the conflict, the volume avoids the usual, biased and one-sided coverage of the conflict, while providing intricate details of the military build-up, capabilities and intentions of both air forces involved, their training, planning, and the conduct of combat operations. Illustrated by more than 100 exclusive photographs, half a dozen maps and 15 authentic colour profiles, ‘Air Wars between Ecuador and Peru, Volume 2’ provides the first authoritative account of the air warfare between Ecuador and Peru in early 1981.
