Download or read book Algorithms of the Synthesis of Optimal Regulations written by F.A. ALIEV, V.B. LARIN, N.I. VELIEVA and published by Outskirts Press. This book was released on 2022-03-30 with total page 410 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book focuses on methods to solutions regarding matrix equations: algebraic, periodic, and unilateral Riccati equations, Lyapunov equations, Silvester equations, generalized Silvester equations, and factorization of matrix polynomials in continuous and discrete cases. These equations are used to solve problems of the synthesis of optimal controllers. Also presented is the problem of the synthesis of optimal controllers in the frequency domain when measuring part of the phase coordinates. A general parameterization algorithm is proposed for its solution. The well-known parameterizations (Youla–Jabr–Bongiorno (1976) and Desoer–Liu–Murrau–Saeks (1980)) are demonstrated by us to form a special case of the proposed general parameterization algorithm. The obtained results can be applied to solve various problems in oil production by the gas-lift method and rod pump systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, and walking machines. Each section is illustrated by examples. The MATLAB environment is used for numerical solution of the problems. The book is intended for students and experts in applied mathematics and control systems theory.

Download or read book Periodic Control Systems 2001 written by S. Bittanti and published by Pergamon. This book was released on 2002-08-09 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Periodic control has reached a notable degree of maturity thanks to developments over the last few decades. We have seen not only major theoretical achievements but also new significant applications. The IFAC workshop on Periodic Control Systems (PSYCO 2001), held at the Villa Erba Congress Centre in Cernobbio-Como (Italy), August 27-28 2001, aimed at presenting the full picture of the area by gathering experts in the field and all interested researchers, coming from universities, research institutions and industries. The program consisted of technical sessions, organized in two parallel streams and two plenary lectures, given by Jason L. Speyer (University of California at Los Angeles, USA) and Yutaka Yamamoto (Kyoto University, Japan). The technical sessions included 42 papers covering the following subjects: .Periodic Systems Analysis .Application .Time-Series .Hybrid and Sampled-Data .Aerospace Applications .Periodic Systems Control .Numerical Methods .Multirate and Batch Processes .Repetitive and Nonlinear Control A dozen of the papers were devoted to a number of applications, including aerospace, jet and diesel engines, gas turbines, nuclear reactors, power systems, satellites, environmental sciences and finance.

Download or read book Low Gain Feedback written by Zongli Lin and published by Springer. This book was released on 1999 with total page 382 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book gives a unified and unique presentation of low gain and high gain design methodologies. In particular the development of low gain feedback design methodology is discussed. The development of both low and high gain feedback enhances the industrial relevance of modern control theory, by providing solutions to a wide range of problems that are of paramount practical importance. This detailed monograph provides the reader with a comprehensive insight into these problems: research results are examined and solutions to the problems are considered. Compared to that of high gain feedback, the power and significance of low gain feedback is not as widely recognized. The purpose of this monograph is to present some recent developments in low gain feedback, and its applications. Several low gain techniques are examined, including the control of linear systems with saturating actuators, semi-global stabilization of minimum phase input-output linearizable systems and H2 suboptimal control.

ADHS is a series of triennial meetings that aims to bring together researchers and practitioners with a background in control and computer science to provide a survey of the advances in the field of hybrid systems, and of their ability to take up the challenge of analysis, design and verification of efficient and reliable control systems. ADHS'06 is the second Conference of this series after ADHS'03 in Saint Malo. - 65 papers selected through careful reviewing process - Plenary lectures presented by three distinguished speakers - Featuring interesting new research topics
Download or read book Renewable Energy written by Thomas Hammons and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2009-12-01 with total page 592 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Renewable Energy is energy generated from natural resources - such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides and geothermal heat - which are naturally replenished. In 2008, about 18% of global final energy consumption came from renewables, with 13% coming from traditional biomass, such as wood burning. Hydroelectricity was the next largest renewable source, providing 3% (15% of global electricity generation), followed by solar hot water/heating, which contributed with 1.3%. Modern technologies, such as geothermal energy, wind power, solar power, and ocean energy together provided some 0.8% of final energy consumption. The book provides a forum for dissemination and exchange of up - to - date scientific information on theoretical, generic and applied areas of knowledge. The topics deal with new devices and circuits for energy systems, photovoltaic and solar thermal, wind energy systems, tidal and wave energy, fuel cell systems, bio energy and geo-energy, sustainable energy resources and systems, energy storage systems, energy market management and economics, off-grid isolated energy systems, energy in transportation systems, energy resources for portable electronics, intelligent energy power transmission, distribution and inter - connectors, energy efficient utilization, environmental issues, energy harvesting, nanotechnology in energy, policy issues on renewable energy, building design, power electronics in energy conversion, new materials for energy resources, and RF and magnetic field energy devices.
