Download or read book Daniel and Revelation written by Ed Pittman and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2020-07-07 with total page 307 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1987, when Ed joined a new church, the pastor was teaching on the book of Revelation. Ed so enjoyed the teaching that he decided to read what others had to say about Revelation. He quickly learned that there were many different interpretations of Revelation and other books of the Bible that contained prophecy about the end times or latter days. He decided that he needed to do more reading and study of scripture, as well as books written by others, so he could come to his own understanding of what God was telling us about how He would bring things to an end. After much reading and prayer, his focus narrowed primarily to the books of Daniel and Revelation. The book of Daniel is about Israel in the time before Christ. The prophecy in Daniel begins with the Babylonian kingdom and continues through the Roman kingdom in such detail and accuracy that many believe it was written much later and is more historical than prophetic. It also tells us about the later kingdoms but in a much broader sense and less detail. The book of Revelation, written by John on the island of Patmos, tells us about the kingdoms that come after the Roman kingdom. Revelation tells us in great detail about Christ's message to the seven churches and the seventieth week of Daniel's prophecy of seventy weeks of years. This includes the breaking of the seven seals, the blowing of the seven trumpets, and the pouring out of the seven bowl judgments. Lastly it tells us the good news about the return of Christ and the establishment of His kingdom.
Download or read book Revelation Unsealed written by Donald A. Salerno Jr and published by Virtualbookworm Publishing. This book was released on 2004 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Finally, a book which simplistically, insightfully and systematically presents an integrated, concrete overview of the 22 chapters, or 404 verses, of the book of Revelation. "Revelation Unsealed" is unique in a number of major areas. It is the first book to approach the text of Revelation from what is termed the Pre-Wrath Rapture perspective. This is the hotly debated view that the church will enter the Seventieth Week, undergo the great tribulation of the Antichrist, and be gathered off the earth before the wrath of God unfolds. This view is presented in a logical scenario, which is then placed within the overall context of the Apocalypse. Also contained is an entirely fresh biblical perspective of the emergence of the Antichrist. Additionally, this book also fully covers the relevance of world events, the amazing track record of biblical prophecy, the fulfillment of the seven religious feast of Israel, the battle of Armageddon, and the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus Christ. All of these issues are addressed in a concise and simple manner with numerous charts and illustrations to aid the reader in easily conceptualizing and visualizing what is outlined. Its contents will challenge both the newest Christian and the seasoned biblical scholar.

Book excerpt: In heaven we shall know everlasting rest and the full measure of our inheritance. Though no eye has seen what God has prepared for us, from Revelation 21-22 we can understand a little of what heaven will feel like. We shall know a new freedom, economy, purity, peace, and so much more. Those will be the simple experiences. The greater experiences will be in everlasting love, most especially in an everlasting marriage and an enduring intimate community. Likewise, we shall know a growing and everlasting security within our grand heritage within God’s promises and in the work of Christ. Yet the greatest experience of all is also the hardest to understand, because it is the farthest removed from our earthly experience. The greatest experience of all will be that—for the rest of our everlasting loving lives—we will share in the very life and glory of our dynamic and loving God, our loving Father and Abba. The greatest experience in heaven will be the very life and light that we share with God Himself, so very personal and loving to the uttermost.

Download or read book Prophecies and Lessons in Daniel written by Robert Page and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-09-03 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Daniel was a captive in Babylon. He served secular kings and by the power of God interpreted their dreams and visions, some of which revealed Israel's future. Daniel spent his entire life desiring to know what would happen to his people, the children of Israel. In response to his quest, God revealed much to Daniel through dreams and visions of his own. Prophecies and lessons in Daniel is a verse-by-verse commentary on the prophetic book of Daniel produced by the Lord's guidance during many years of prayerful study and developed from sermons and Bible lessons conducted no less than three times at Victory Baptist Church. It includes historical context and secular history identified to show prophecies in Daniel that have already been fulfilled. It also compares the prophecies in Daniel with relevant passages in both the Old and New Testaments including the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Download or read book Millennial Dreams and Apocalyptic Nightmares written by Angela M. Lahr and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2007-10-31 with total page 294 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Religious Right came to prominence in the early 1980s, but it was born during the early Cold War. Evangelical leaders like Billy Graham, driven by a fierce opposition to communism, led evangelicals out of the political wilderness they'd inhabited since the Scopes trial and into a much more active engagement with the important issues of the day. How did the conservative evangelical culture move into the political mainstream? Angela Lahr seeks to answer this important question. She shows how evangelicals, who had felt marginalized by American culture, drew upon their eschatological belief in the Second Coming of Christ and a subsequent glorious millennium to find common cause with more mainstream Americans who also feared a a 'soon-coming end,' albeit from nuclear war. In the early postwar climate of nuclear fear and anticommunism, the apocalyptic eschatology of premillennial dispensationalism embraced by many evangelicals meshed very well with the "secular apocalyptic" mood of a society equally terrified of the Bomb and of communism. She argues that the development of the bomb, the creation of the state of Israel, and the Cuban Missile Crisis combined with evangelical end-times theology to shape conservative evangelical political identity and to influence secular views. Millennial beliefs influenced evangelical interpretation of these events, repeatedly energized evangelical efforts, and helped evangelicals view themselves and be viewed by others as a vital and legitimate segment of American culture, even when it raised its voice in sharp criticism of aspects of that culture. Conservative Protestants were able to take advantage of this situation to carve out a new space for their subculture within the national arena. The greater legitimacy that evangelicals gained in the early Cold War provided the foundation of a power-base in the national political culture that the religious right would draw on in the late seventies and early eighties. The result, she demonstrates, was the alliance of religious and political conservatives that holds power today.

Download or read book Visualization of Nucleic Acids written by Gerard Morel and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 1995-03-30 with total page 398 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents a review of the principle approaches for visualizing DNA and RNA. Using scanning tunneling and atomic force microscopes, the three-dimensional image of the surface of nucleic acids can be seen at atomic-scale resolutions. Spreading methods provide useful details on structural features of isolated molecules, but the major constituent of living matter is water, and the cryomicroscope makes it possible to look at DNA in its aqueous environment. Genes can be detected simultaneously in situ in chromosomes using fluorescent probes, and also at the electron microscopic level. In cells, nucleic acids are localized and quantified by dyes; electron microscopy is used with cytochemical, immunocytological, nuclease, and in situ hybridization methods. The main potential applications for pathological studies are shown with particular aspects such as viral nucleic acids and in situ PCR.
