Book Restore Such a One

    Book Details:
  • Author : Lance M. Bacon

  • Pages : 326 pages

Download or read book Restore Such a One written by Lance M. Bacon and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2024-08-01 with total page 326 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Widespread deficiencies in spiritual formation see an increasing number of ministers buckle under the significant burdens common to the task. There are seasons when a powerful triad of the flesh, the world, and the devil converge (Eph 2:2–3, cf. Jas 3:15 and 1 John 2:16). Misdirected attempts to fulfill emptiness, find worth, or heal longstanding wounds ensue. Widespread instances of sexual immorality result. Sound exegesis and analysis of theological doctrine presents an allowance, in certain cases, for ministerial restoration. However, this necessitates an intimate and intricate approach that differs significantly from the varied solutions churches and denominations offer. Few restoration programs bring a biblical response to bear. Remarkably rare are restoration programs that look to correct causal factors and commit to congregational care. This program orients itself on an understanding of brokenness and the need for holistic (re)formation. The latter requires fallen ministers to progress beyond biblical confession and repentance to partner with the Holy Spirit and key authorities such as an overseer, mentors, Christian mental health professionals, and a designated congregation. The unitive goal is a “sanctifying psychopathology” that properly diagnoses spiritual and emotional health; eradicates the adverse influences of emotional, cultural, and spiritual factors; and redirects self-oriented patterns of thought and behavior.

Book Full Restoration

Download or read book Full Restoration written by Chad Mager and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2005-07-11 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: FULL RESTORATION is not just about divorce! There is no other book like this one! Full Restoration reaches out to any Christian who has sinned in his or her past. Gods restoration is never partial, but complete! You can still be used mightily for God! Full Restoration presents a sound interpretation of 1 Timothy 3:2 The pastoral aspirant is to be one who is a "one woman kind of man". It emphasizes this man's present character, not his past sin. Full Restoration shows that there is not a place in the Bible that says men who have sinned in their past lose their giftedness. With confession and repentance they can be used effectively in ministry again! God's forgiveness and restoration is complete. Even Jesus told Peter after his denial of the Lord, "Feed my sheep"! Full Restoration is for all Christians who have fallen into any sin, but are forgiven and desire to serve the Lord again! May the church see its need to discontinue seeing these precious forgiven and gifted saints as second class citizens...but restored persons who will feed Jesus' sheep!

Book Railroad Crossings to Restoration Looking Back and Pressing Forward

This book was released on 2017-11-30 with total page 255 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hope is like a light shining in the distance where once laid darkness. In faith, though doubting and crying out to a God of love, hope springs up and grows increasingly with trust until the light bursts through the small opening in the trees. Now when you see clearly, life takes on new meaning. In Railroad Crossings to Restoration: Looking Back and Pressing Forward, Larene speaks from the heart in truth and love, remembering the journey she had traveled in the darkest moments of her life. This journey would not be like the last. It was not one where she knew the landmarks and where God would show her the paths to take to get there, filling in the blank spaces between. No. This journey was different. With no landmarks on the map and no knowledge of where she was going, she would need to trust God as He took her uncertain hand and made this new journey a mystery, an adventure, a venture into a newfound land of faith.

Book Your Own Jesus

Download or read book Your Own Jesus written by Mark Hall and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2009-08-30 with total page 127 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today, so many are fearful of the unknown – a crumbling economy, job loss, loneliness, terrorism, tragic news around every corner. We are overwhelmed. Does the security and peace that should come from knowing we are in the hands of a loving God now seem to be an empty promise? Perhaps that’s because we have built our foundation on someone else’s faith – parents’, friend’s, or pastor’s, so we merely inherit a relationship with Jesus, but never find our own. A true storyteller and a teacher with a heart for ministry, Mark Hall traces the tragic, downward spiral that leads to a life of fear and spiritual compromise, and then charts the hopeful, upward road to the joy and confidence that comes when we claim our very own Jesus. Through fascinating personal stories, scriptural insights, and practical interactive studies, Your Own Jesus will liberate readers from compromise and empower them with joy and confidence.
