Il apparaît important que médecin généraliste et patient puissent discuter ensemble et se comprendre. L'objectif principal de cette étude était de connaître les représentations des internes de médecine générale sur l'hypnose et les thérapies brèves. Les objectifs secondaires étaient d'apprécier leur connaissance de l'hypnose et des thérapies brèves, d'évaluer la formation reçue au cours du parcours universitaire ; de connaître le lien qu'ils font entre hypnose et psychothérapie. Une étude qualitative par entretiens semi-dirigés a été réalisée, auprès de douze internes de médecine générale inscrits à la faculté de Nantes, en cours de formation, qu'ils soient formés ou non à l'hypnose en dehors de leur parcours universitaire. L'analyse des résultats a été menée en utilisant la méthode par théorisation ancrée. Ils révèlent que malgré un manque de formation déploré par les internes, ceux-ci ont de riches notions de l'hypnose, moins des thérapies brèves. Ils sont tiraillés entre leur représentation intellectuelle de l'hypnose magique (retrouvée chez les patients) et leur représentation quasi-viscérale, inconsciente, de l'hypnose relationnelle. Cette dernière ayant été acquise lors d'expériences personnelles ou professionnelles. L'une des perspectives de ce travail est l'intérêt d'intégrer l'apprentissage de l'hypnose dans le parcours universitaire des internes de médecine générale, pour enrichir leurs connaissances de l'hypnose et des thérapies brèves mais surtout pour les aider à intégrer ces pratiques dans leur quotidien de médecin généraliste, celles-ci pouvant apporter sur le plan de la communication et de la relation médecin-patient.

One, concerning Controversial Aspects of Resuscitation, was later edited by its chairman, PETER SAFAR, and published in 1963. At the request of the publisher, the discussion on hypnosis has been edited in a similar manner. The participants in the discussion on Hypnosis in Anes thesiology had agreed, prior to the meeting, on a list of questions to be debated, and Dr. STOKVIS' introductory statement on the nature of hypnosis was circulated among them in appropriate translations in order to give the debate a starting point. It had also been agreed that no formal papers should be read after this introduction, and that the participants should use at will the German, English or French language. Following each contribution it was the chairman's task to give a brief summary in the two other languages. Discussion was therefore somewhat slowed down and occasionally rendered difficult by misunderstandings or the omission of details. Drs. GUEGUEN, MOSCONI, and VOLGYESI, who were not able. to attend, had sent written contributions which the chairman presented briefly during the discussion. The present text has been worked out of the tape recording of the discussion and the chairman's correspondence with the panelists some time after the meeting. Whenever the original contributions were in French or German, the English translation has been the chairman's.
