Research suggests that high dietary fat is also a prominent risk factor. There may be a hereditary factor, but no gene has been identified.This year over 210,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 32,000 men will die from the disease. The ideal treatment for each patient may vary depending on information like the stage of the cancer, Gleason score, PSA levels and the age and general health of the patient.
