Download or read book The Rainbow S Light written by Derek Earls and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2016-10-12 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Droplets of evil had diluted and eventually dispersed the white power of the suns special light. The special light had a purpose. It was created for such a time as this. The purpose carried a good intent, but some devilry had diluted and dispersed the good intent. It was remembered by those occasions when rainbows arched the sky. The rainbows appeared less to men and others forgot. But most men had forgotten the purpose of the rainbows reminder, and most men and others had never known the purpose of the special light. It was always known by a few that such a time as this would come. The few, intent on good, feared the coming of such a time. Now the greater number, who were evil, were aware that the time, or a time, had come. They were, at first, unaware that the special light might reconvene as a whole and that the white power of the whole might thwart their intent. These others were not men, not human. Though they had mans outward appearance, most were subhuman; some were superhuman. Evil intent rested with the superhuman; but, to them, the intent was not evil, just inevitable. Only those carried upon the waves of the special light had the energy to combat the evil intent, and then it was only when they came together.

Download or read book The Rainbow Bridge written by Raymond L. Lee and published by Penn State Press. This book was released on 2001 with total page 654 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Venerated as god and goddess, feared as demon and pestilence, trusted as battle omen, and used as a proving ground for optical theories, the rainbow's image is woven into the fabric of our past and present. From antiquity to the nineteenth century, the rainbow has played a vital role in both inspiring and testing new ideas about the physical world. Although scientists today understand the rainbow's underlying optics fairly well, its subtle variability in nature has yet to be fully explained. Throughout history the rainbow has been seen primarily as a symbol&—of peace, covenant, or divine sanction&—rather than as a natural phenomenon. Lee and Fraser discuss the role the rainbow has played in societies throughout the ages, contrasting its guises as a sign of optimism, bearer of Greek gods' messages of war and retribution, and a symbol of the Judeo-Christian bridge to the divine. The authors traverse the bridges between the rainbow's various roles as they explore its scientific, artistic, and folkloric visions. This unique book, exploring the rainbow from the perspectives of atmospheric optics, art history, color theory, and mythology, will inspire readers to gaze at the rainbow anew. Download or read book The Nine Eyes of Light written by Padma Aon Prakasha and published by North Atlantic Books. This book was released on 2012-12-18 with total page 401 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Nine Eyes of Light is an exploration into multidimensional being. This is the light-body guidebook for the spiritual traveler. The Nine Eyes, also known as Ascension Keys, are the nine levels of consciousness that served as the foundation for Egypt’s awakened civilization. Deeply relevant for navigating our tumultuous times today, these multidimensional perspectives, or lightbodies, reveal how to further understand and develop our consciousness. In practice, many of us are using some of these bodies already, but not all of them, because we have lost sight of our higher potential. These other bodies, says Prakasha, allow us to sense, navigate, and unify all parts of our human and divine selves. The book shows readers how to experience the universal bodies of light; how to access hidden wisdom about Anubis, a pre-Christ figure and original Sphinx; and how to open and purify the heart through the 42 Laws of Harmony, or Ma’at. Chapters include teachings on the science of vibration, sound, and perception; willpower, bliss, and the fuel for love; god consciousness; the shadow as a gateway to source, and much more. The Nine Eyes unite the mind, body, and spirit in loving wisdom and power.
Download or read book Sustainable Happiness written by Joe Loizzo and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2012-09-10 with total page 746 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today’s greatest health challenges, the so-called diseases of civilization—depression, trauma, obesity, cancer—are now known in large part to reflect our inability to tame stress reflexes gone wild and to empower instead the peaceful, healing and sociable part of our nature that adapts us to civilized life. The same can be said of the economic challenges posed by the stress-reactive cycles of boom and bust, driven by addictive greed and compulsive panic. As current research opens up new horizons of stress-cessation, empathic intelligence, peak performance, and shared happiness, it has also encountered Asian methods of self-healing and interdependence more effective and teachable than any known in the West. Sustainable Happiness is the first book to make Asia’s most rigorous and complete system of contemplative living, hidden for centuries in Tibet, accessible to help us all on our shared journey towards sustainable well-being, altruism, inspiration and happiness.

Download or read book Stage Lighting written by Richard E. Dunham and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2015-10-30 with total page 789 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book’s organization follows a layered approach that builds on basic principles: Light as a Medium (Part 1), Tools of a Lighting Designer (Part 2), Design Fundamentals (Part 3), and Lighting Applications (Part 4). This presents students with a practical and logical sequence when learning basic concepts. The full spectrum of the lighting design process is presented in detail, giving students an example of how one might develop a lighting design from script analysis through concept and plot development, and all the way to an opening. This detailed process with a step-by-step design approach gives students a plan to work from, which they can later modify as they mature and gain confidence as designers. The text contains a more comprehensive discussion of basic technology, light as a physical phenomena, and methodology of designs than is found in most introductory texts, bridging the gap between introductory and advanced lighting courses. The text will appeal to theatrical designers who want to venture into areas of lighting like architectural or virtual lighting design, while at the same time gaining a solid grounding in the fundmentals of lighting design. Lighting Design will also benefit illuminating engineers who want to move away from mere computational approaches in lighting and on to explore techniques along the design approaches of theatrical lighting design. The final 9 chapters cover many specialty areas of lighting design, highlighting the unique and shared qualities that exist between the different aspects of these elements. Discussions involve traditional entertainment areas like theatre, as well as lesser known facets of the industry including film/video, landscape lighting, retail/museum lighting, virtual lighting, concert, spectacle performances, and architectural lighting. Models of design tasks demonstrate the actual use and development of plots/sections, schedules, photometrics tables, and cut sheets, rather than simply talking about what they are. This hands-on approach provides students with a firm understanding of how to actually use these tools and processes.
