Book Radiative Corrections to Polarized Inelastic Scattering in Coincidence

Download or read book Radiative Corrections to Polarized Inelastic Scattering in Coincidence written by and published by . This book was released on 2001 with total page 5 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The complete analysis of the model-independent leading radiative corrections to cross-section and polarization observables in semi-inclusive deep-inelastic electron-nucleus scattering with detection of a proton and scattered electron in coincidence has been performed. The basis of the calculations consists of the Drell-Yan like representation in electrodynamics for both spin-independent and spin-dependent parts of the cross-section in terms of the electron structure functions. The applications to the polarization transfer effect from longitudinally polarized electron beam to detected proton as well as to scattering by the polarized target are considered.

Book Electromagnetic Radiative Corrections in Parity violating Electron proton Scattering

Download or read book Electromagnetic Radiative Corrections in Parity violating Electron proton Scattering written by and published by . This book was released on 2006 with total page 11 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: QED radiative corrections have been calculated for leptonic and hadronic variables in parity-violating elastic ep scattering. For the first time, the calculation of the asymmetry in the elastic radiative tail is performed without the peaking-approximation assumption in hadronic variables configuration. A comparison with the PV-A4 data validates our approach. This method has been also used to evaluate the radiative corrections to the parity-violating asymmetry measured in the G0 experiment. The results obtained are here presented.

Book Parity Violation In Electron Scattering Proceedings Of The Workshop

Download or read book Parity Violation In Electron Scattering Proceedings Of The Workshop written by E J Beise and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 1990-08-23 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These proceedings cover the recent progress and future directions of parity violation in electron scattering. Both experimental and theoretical issues are discussed, such as those of hadronic structure, radiative corrections, and tests of the standard model. There are three sessions, the first of which serves as a general overview of theory and experiment. The second session deals with the technical aspects of making a measurement of the parity violating asymmetry in electron scattering, including not only detector design but polarized electron beams and beam polarimeters.. The remaining session covers the corrections to lowest order parity violating cross sections.

Book RADIATIVE CORRECTIONS TO HIGH ENERGY SCATTERING PROCESSES

Download or read book RADIATIVE CORRECTIONS TO HIGH ENERGY SCATTERING PROCESSES written by and published by . This book was released on 1963 with total page 61 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A unified treatment of radiative corrections to a class of scattering experiments is presented. The experiments considered are those in which either (but not both) the scattered or recoil particle is detected. The recoil kinematics are properly treated and the calculation is simplified by retaining only terms of logarithmic order. The general results are applied to specific practical examples in which radiative corrections are likely to be important. Except possibly for the case of compton scattering with nearly maximum momentum transfer, the errors are estimated to be less than 2% of the cross section.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Workshop on Radiative Corrections: Results and Perspectives was held at the University of Sussex in fine weather between July 9 and 14 1989. The Workshop was weIl timed: the day after its concluding session the first beam at LEP was circulated. The Original aims of the Workshop were twofold: first to review the existing theoretical work on electroweak radiative corrections in the light of the initial experiments at SLC and LEP, and to attempt to obtain a consensus on the best means of carrying out the calculations of the various processes. This aim became Working Group A on Renormalisation Schemes tor Electroweak Radiative Corrections. The second aim was to review the experimental implementation of radiative corrections and this became Working Group B. Here the problem was to obtain a consensus on the use of Monte Carlo event generators. At the time (March 1987) when Friedrich Dydak wrote to one of us (ND) to suggest a Workshop on the subject of electroweak radiative corrections to take place just before experiments at LEP were to begin, the main theoretical problem was that there was no agreement among theorists on the use of a specific renormalization scheme. Similarly, it was already becoming clear that it was going to be very difficult to compare the experimental results of different groups because they would use different event generators and experimental cuts of their data.
