This book was released on 2022 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This report provides preliminary results observed from new RCM InSAR data acquired over 21 sites in British Columbia (BC), Alberta (AB), and Nunavut (NU) from April 2020, by comparing them with RADARSAT-2 and Sentinel-1 observations in some cases. Based on the preliminary observations, the advantages and limitations of RCM InSAR for landslide monitoring and some guidelines for future operational plans are suggested"--Introduction, page 1.

Book The RADARSAT Constellation Mission

Download or read book The RADARSAT Constellation Mission written by Canadian Space Agency and published by . This book was released on 2015 with total page 4 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The Canadian Space Agency pursues a mandate promoting the peaceful use and development of space; advancing the knowledge of space through science; while, ensuring that space science and technology provide social and economic benefits for Canadians. In consultation with other departments, the Canadian Space Agency is leading the design, development and operation of the RADARSAT Constellation Mission to help the Government meet its key priorities. Earth Observation has greatly evolved over the years and Canadian satellites RADARSAT-1 and RADARSAT-2 are a true measure of our advanced technology. In the wake of their global success, Canada is developing the RADARSAT Constellation Mission using small satellites to further maximize our capability to carry out round-the-clock surveillance from space"--Page [1].

Book SAR Interferometry with the RADARSAT Constellation Mission

Download or read book SAR Interferometry with the RADARSAT Constellation Mission written by J.P. Dudley and published by . This book was released on 2022 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM) is Canada's latest system of C-band Synthetic Apeture Radar (SAR) Earth observation satellites. The system of three satellites, spaced equally in a common orbit, allows for a rapid four-day repeat interval. The RCM has been designed with a selection of stripmap, spotlight, and ScanSAR beam modes which offer varied combinations of spatial resolution and coverage. Using Differential Interferometric Synthetic Apeture Radar (DInSAR) techniques, the growing archive of SAR data gathered by RCM can be used for change detection and ground deformation monitoring for diverse applications in Canada and around the world"--Abstract, page 1.

  • Pages : 461 pages

Download or read book The Pacific Arctic Region written by Jacqueline M. Grebmeier and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-06-10 with total page 461 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Pacific Arctic region is experiencing rapid sea ice retreat, seawater warming, ocean acidification and biological response. Physical and biogeochemical modeling indicates the potential for step-function changes to the overall marine ecosystem. This synthesis book was coordinated within the Pacific Arctic Group, a network of international partners working in the Pacific Arctic. Chapter topics range from atmospheric and physical sciences to chemical processing and biological response to changing environmental conditions. Physical and biogeochemical modeling results highlight the need for data collection and interdisciplinary modeling activities to track and forecast the changing ecosystem of the Pacific Arctic with climate change.

Book Google Earth Engine Applications

Download or read book Google Earth Engine Applications written by Lalit Kumar and published by MDPI. This book was released on 2019-04-23 with total page 420 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In a rapidly changing world, there is an ever-increasing need to monitor the Earth’s resources and manage it sustainably for future generations. Earth observation from satellites is critical to provide information required for informed and timely decision making in this regard. Satellite-based earth observation has advanced rapidly over the last 50 years, and there is a plethora of satellite sensors imaging the Earth at finer spatial and spectral resolutions as well as high temporal resolutions. The amount of data available for any single location on the Earth is now at the petabyte-scale. An ever-increasing capacity and computing power is needed to handle such large datasets. The Google Earth Engine (GEE) is a cloud-based computing platform that was established by Google to support such data processing. This facility allows for the storage, processing and analysis of spatial data using centralized high-power computing resources, allowing scientists, researchers, hobbyists and anyone else interested in such fields to mine this data and understand the changes occurring on the Earth’s surface. This book presents research that applies the Google Earth Engine in mining, storing, retrieving and processing spatial data for a variety of applications that include vegetation monitoring, cropland mapping, ecosystem assessment, and gross primary productivity, among others. Datasets used range from coarse spatial resolution data, such as MODIS, to medium resolution datasets (Worldview -2), and the studies cover the entire globe at varying spatial and temporal scales.
