La réhabilitation respiratoire est indiquée dès que le patient présente une incapacité ou un handicap d'origine respiratoire. Les objectifs de cette étude sont d'évaluer les résultats en termes d'amélioration de la dyspnée, de tolérance à l'effort et de qualité de vie chez les patients atteints de BPCO et suivant un programme de RR ambulatoire, en maison de santé pluriprofessionnelle. Méthode : nous avons réalisé une étude descriptive rétrospective à propos de 11 patients atteints de BPCO. Les critères d'évaluation sont la distance de marche au TM6, la dyspnée évaluée par l'échelle mMRC, la qualité de vie évaluée par le questionnaire SF-12. L'évaluation est réalisée à l'aide de deux questionnaires, au début et à la fin d'un programme de 6 semaines de réhabilitation respiratoire en MSP. Résultats : 11 patients atteints de BPCO sont inclus dans cette étude (femmes : 45,5% ; hommes : 54,5%). L'âge moyen est de 64,5 ± 13,0 ans. Au terme d'un séjour de 6 semaines en RR, les résultats montrent une amélioration de la tolérance à l'effort (amélioration moyenne de la distance de marche au TM6 de 123,9 ± 125,2 mètres (p = 0,02)) et une diminution de la dyspnée (55% des patients présentent une diminution de leurs grade de dyspnée selon l'échelle mMRC). Il n'y a pas de différence significative de la qualité de vie avant et après RR (p = 0.06). Conclusion : la réhabilitation respiratoire en maison de santé pluriprofessionnelle des patients atteints de BPCO améliore leur tolérance à l'effort et leur dyspnée.

Matricellular receptors mediate numerous signalings from the extracellular environment to cell nucleus and drive main biological functions that are cell growth, survival and migration. Numerous data from the last decade evidence that matricellular receptors are biosensors that allow to a tumor cell answering to microenvironmental variations, and in this sense they are important contributors to tumor cell malignancy. Matricellular receptors represent thus valuable targets for the development of original anti-cancer strategies. Original reports, bibliographic reviews or hypotheses are welcome to improve the basic knowledge of matricellular receptor properties, their spatio-temporal regulation, the dynamic formation of complex receptors and the impact of such interactions on the invasive properties of tumor cells. As one of 14 pilots shot down or experience mechanical failure in the ensuing battle, he parachuted into the sea 18 km from land, 100 km southwest of Darwin in the Fogg Bay area. He reached the shore in a dinghy. For the next 15 days he trudged through inhospitable country in a futile attempt to return to Strauss airbase. What should have been a few days walk turned into his worst possible nightmare as he stumbled aimlessly through mosquito and crocodile infested swamps. "It was almost six days I'd been without sleep, apart from a short period of unconsciousness and those few moments before I fell out of that tree," he said. " I became demented by the cavalcade of mosquitoes and hallucinating badly". His experience was only to worsen - he waded halfway across a tidal river to be confronted by a large saltie. Darwin historian John Haslett help Stagg map the original route by retracing his steps, even managing to relocate an American Kittyhawk Stagg found crashed in the middle of nowhere.
