Book excerpt: Introduction : L'objectif de ce travail était d'optimiser l'accueil et la prise en charge du nouveau-né en post-partum immédiat suite à la publication de recommandations de la HAS en 2017. Matériels et méthodes : Une étude transversale descriptive unicentrique a été réalisée dans le cadre d'une Analyse des Pratiques Professionnelles (APP) via des chemins cliniques. Un premier recueil a eu lieu entre le 15 mars 2018 et le 30 juin 2018 au sein d'une maternité de type III de la région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Puis des actions d'amélioration ont été proposées avant la deuxième évaluation qui a eu lieu entre le 15 novembre 2018 et le 17 février 2019. Résultats : Trente-six couples parents-enfants ont été inclus au cours de chaque recueil. Tous les nouveau-nés avaient bénéficié d'un peau-à-peau avec une installation adaptée et une surveillance au moins toutes les 15 minutes pour 81,2%. L'allaitement maternel avait débuté pour 51,7% puis 57,0% des nouveau-nés avant la première heure de vie. Aucune différence n'a été retrouvée sur la durée du peau-à-peau en fonction de l'heure de naissance. Discussion : D'importantes améliorations ont pu être retrouvées entre les deux recueils de l'APP concernant le peau-à-peau privilégié avec les mères et la réduction des aspirations gastriques. Des pratiques non optimales persistaient comme la réalisation des soins dans l'heure suivant la naissance et une faible pratique de l'auscultation cardio-pulmonaire par les sages-femmes. Des projets d'action : information et formations des professionnels pourraient être mis en place.
