Book The Physics of Consciousness

Download or read book The Physics of Consciousness written by Ivan Antic and published by . This book was released on 2021-05-08 with total page 248 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The true nature of consciousness is an issue of primary importance today. A great many deceptions exist today that create conflicts among humans and with nature itself. In the modern world, a real possibility exists that such a conflict could threaten the existence of humankind. It is logical to assume that every conflict is based on fundamental misunderstanding or lack of awareness of the true nature of existence. This is predicated on the notion that the consciousness and existence are the same thing. All misinterpretations and conflicts are rooted in differentiating consciousness from existence, i.e. separating what goes on in our head from what goes on in the outer world and dividing our thoughts from our words and deeds. This aim of this book is to confirm the nature of external existence as an indivisible part of our consciousness and essence. A logical framework of such a depiction of reality rests on the assumption that the consciousness which is in our mind is an integrated part of the same consciousness that creates the overall existence. Unlike what is thought traditionally, there is no multitude of consciousnesses; the consciousness is only one and the same in everything, it merely divides and utilizes itself in all of the aspects of existence. Consciousness and existence are one and the same, and together they comprise our essence, or the soul. The true nature of consciousness and existence cannot be separated from the true nature of our essence or the soul. In other words, we cannot live in the world in one way, be aware in another, and relate to our essence in some completely different way. The consciousness of our soul is inseparable from the world we live in. Our existence remains inauthentic, painful, and heartless, insofar as we keep ourselves apart from the consciousness of our soul; from consciousness itself; and from existence, as such. However, a simple statement that the consciousness and existence are the same is not enough. To make their unity crystal clear, the functioning of the consciousness is presented here in detail in different dimensions of nature and through various forms, from the quantum field, minerals, plants, and animals to human beings and the development of culture, the issue of artificial intelligence, ethics, and, ultimately, the discipline of self-knowledge. The unity of the divine consciousness that creates everything with our thoughts and actions is demonstrated and proved quite practically here. This is the only way in which a book that aspires to explain the world may have practial value.

Book excerpt: 'WOW, what a great book. As a person who has been in the world of recovery for 30+ years, it goes straight to the heart of the “missing piece” for most alcoholics and addicts.' Dr Robb Kelly, The Addiction Doctor Despite centuries of analyses and debates between scientists and philosophers, consciousness remains puzzling and controversial. It is the most familiar yet mysterious aspect of our lives. There might be different levels of consciousness, or different kinds of consciousness, or just one kind with different features. Modern research into the human brain is yet to provide conclusive answers, and we don't know if animals, insects or plants are conscious, or even the universe itself. The contrasting range of research suggests that a new approach might be needed \-\- one that includes both an objective scientific view and a subjective philosophical and spiritual view \-\- in order to unlock the mystery. All Is One investigates how consciousness fits into a larger picture of the universe by exploring what science, philosophy, religion, and spirituality have to say on the matter, and offers a conclusive definition of consciousness that might satisfy both the scientifically oriented and spiritually oriented reader.

Book Questioning Spirituality

Download or read book Questioning Spirituality written by Eldon Taylor, Ph.D and published by John Hunt Publishing. This book was released on 2023-03-31 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A pragmatic case for the rational viability of a spiritual belief in a higher power. [Taylor] makes a compelling case that the scientific worldview--one that sees humans as “meat machines”--is inconsistent with people's experiences of themselves and is not nearly as rationally superior as it is so often presented. This alone makes the author's compact consideration a worthwhile read. A philosophically astute challenge to the rational supremacy of science over its spiritual rivals. Kirkus Reviews

Book The Ripple of Awakening

Download or read book The Ripple of Awakening written by Ann-Marie Marchant and published by John Hunt Publishing. This book was released on 2022-12-09 with total page 143 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is about a spiritual awakening, what that means and looks like from the human perspective. It explores the highs, the lows, the commonalities, the phases and the stages and ways in which the reader can support themselves. It is real, raw, authentic, at times funny, certainly inspiring and full of hope. Ann-Marie takes the reader's hand and walks them step-by-step through the stages of their own healing journey and offers ways that can inspire them, with practical suggestions and practices such as prayer, meditation, self-enquiry, self-care, self-expression, forgiveness and inner-child healing. At the heart of the book is a flushing out of the reader's relationship, or lack of relationship, with God. Ann-Marie reveals how she went from a complete non-believer and came to eventually work for the big guy upstairs, being guided to become a multi-faith minister. She endeavours to de-funk the ego's construct of God and inspire the reader to wake up to the love, peace, guidance and joy that is waiting for them through their connection with the God of their own understanding.

Book Woman Through the Ages

Download or read book Woman Through the Ages written by Ann Merivale and published by John Hunt Publishing. This book was released on 2022-07-29 with total page 505 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Did you know that the first named piece of writing was the work of a Sumerian woman in approximately 2085 BC, while the world’s first novel was written by a Japanese woman in the eleventh century? Or that Hildegard of Bingen, the great twelfth century Abbess, writer, and composer, defied the Church’s traditions by viewing feminine sexuality as a gift of God? Or that one of China’s most powerful Emperors was a woman? These are but a few examples of the facts in this autobiography with a difference, Woman Through the Ages. Author Ann Merivale, a deep-memory process therapist, has used previous lifetimes in her own history to illustrate the roles we all play in preparation for returning to the source whence we’ve come. Skilfully weaving her personal story into each area and time period covered, Merivale highlights the injustices wrought on women for centuries, as well as their many achievements. Woman Through the Ages gives a fascinating and comprehensive picture of womanhood through the ages and concludes that the time for equality and greater respect for feminine energy is finally arriving.

It is a book that not only discusses the Indian experiences and views of non-domestic travellers in their explorations and adventures, but also a text that helps understand the simple question of why tourists keep returning to the country. What is it about India that prompts the interest and loyalty of returning tourists? Where do they go and why? What areas do tourists visit and what aspects of Indian culture, policy and history interests them? How do overseas tourists cope with and understand the shocking evidence of poverty while travelling around the country? Few countries embody the blending of tradition and the ancient with the new and the modern. So yes, it is a good time to be interested in and thinking about India. The final part of El Jazim clarifies various Christian themes and provides a summary of the entire book, which is Albert Waszink’s core message: “Say YES!”
