The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting. This is. Of course, assuming that the meeting has to do with a body which meets at regular intervals. The members present should listen attentively to the min utes. Those who were present at the previous meeting should be in a position to check the Secretary's Report and this should be done after the minutes are read. As soon as theminutes we read, the presiding officer should ask if there are any corrections or additions to be made in the minutes. If anyone has a correction to make, they should be ready and make it as briefly as possible. If this correc tion is sustained by the majority of those present at the previous meeting, the minutes should at once be amended in this respect. When these corrections have been made, it is in order for anyone to move the adoption of the minutes as read if there are no corrections. Or as corrected if there have been corrections made. The motion to adopt the minutes should be seconded and put to the meeting, the yeas and nays called for, and when the minutes are duly passed, they should at once he signed by the presiding officer. If there is any busi ness arising out of the minutes of the previous meeting. It should be taken up immediately following the adoption of the minutes, unless by a majority vote it is postponed to a later period of the meeting.
