Download or read book Behavior and Self Similarity between Nano and Human Scales From T pattern and T string Analysis TPA with THEME to T Societies written by Magnus S. Magnusson and published by Frontiers Media SA. This book was released on 2023-09-12 with total page 149 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This project was inspired in the sixties by primatologist D. Morris’s “The Naked Ape”, Niko Tinbergen, K. Lorenz, and K. von Frisch ethological research rewarded in 1973 by a shared Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology and E. O. Wilson’s 1975 opus “Sociobiology”. Other important inspirations were B. F. Skinner’s work on probabilistic real-time contingencies, N. Chomsky’s on syntactic structure and creativity, H. Montagner’s on interactions in social insects and children, S. Duncan’s on turn-taking in human dyadic interactions, and Richard Dawkins’ on behavioral hierarchy and detection algorithms. Structured animal mass-societies (>104 individuals) are only found in insects and modern humans and understanding their similarities and differences became a major aim through a search for hidden interaction patterns. Existing multivariate and artificial neural network methods and models lacked adequate description and detection of complex real-time patterns requiring new mathematical time structure (1-D) models, now the T-system, with detection algorithms and software (THEME™).
Download or read book COVID 19 and the Soccer World written by Kausik Bandyopadhyay and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2022-09-05 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The spread of COVID-19 and the consequent pandemic since early 2020 have brought about unprecedented changes in all spheres of global life, creating a new sense of (in)security with social distancing, physical isolation, quarantine and lockdown becoming buzzwords to combat the disease. As in all spheres of life, the first wave of the pandemic posed serious challenges to the world of soccer, with diverse and intriguing responses across the globe. This book documents the early impressions and initial responses of various stakeholders of the soccer world to the challenges of COVID-19 in 2020. It reveals how the process of confrontation, negotiation, adjustment and overcoming against such challenges necessitated and inspired novel responses and strong improvisations from soccer bodies to players, referees to spectators, and journalists to sponsors. This process has revealed abrupt as well as radical changes in the organization, rules, spectatorship and telecast of the game, thereby affecting the game’s cultural dimensions, commercial prospects and political implications. The volume points out that the way soccer has adjusted to the ‘new normal’ standard of the ‘COVID Regime’ has elicited newer meanings and nuanced representations of the game. The chapters in this book were originally published as a special issue of the journal, Soccer & Society.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book attempts to provide a wide overview of key ethical matters in the philosophy of sport: What is fair play? Is strategic fouling legitimate? What is the role of cheating and gamesmanship in sport? What can be said about doping and physical enhancement? How can we approach gender issues that come from the core of the practice of sport? Does sport share any common characteristics, or even roots, with racism, violence or nationalism? Should cyborgathletes compete in equal conditions with organic athletes? What can we do with new technologies in sport? In the book there is an analyse of all possible solutions that the main authors or contemporary sport philosopher has brought forward on a topic, and after having laid out the current panorama, the author deal with each of them directly and personally.

Download or read book Psicolog a aplicada al rbitro de F tbol written by Jacinto González Oye and published by Wanceulen Editorial. This book was released on 2017-08-01 with total page 325 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. 1. This book was released on 2012-01-16 with total page 487 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For public and school libraries, this resource reflects recent changes in Library of Congress subject headings and authority files, and provides bilingual information essential to reference librarians and catalogers serving Spanish speakers. Libraries must provide better access to their collections for all users, including Spanish-language materials. The American Library Association has recognized this increasing need. Subject Headings for School and Public Libraries: Bilingual Fourth Edition is the only resource available that provides both authorized and reference entries in English and Spanish. A first-check source for the most frequently used headings needed in school and public libraries, this book incorporates thousands of new and revised entries to assist in applying LCSH and CSH headings. Of the approximately 30,000 headings listed, most include cross-references, and all of the cross-reference terms are translated. MARC21 tags are included for all authorized entries to simplify entering them into computerized catalogs, while indexes to all headings and free-floating subdivisions are provided in translation from Spanish to English. This book gives librarians access to accurate translations of the subject terms printed in books published and cataloged in English-speaking countriesinvaluable information in settings with Spanish-speaking patrons.
