Book Prophesy with the Wind of God in Your Mouth

Download or read book Prophesy with the Wind of God in Your Mouth written by Hank Kunneman and published by . This book was released on 2016-06-01 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It has always been the desire of God to use people to speak and be His voice in the earth. Of all the creatures made, only mankind was given the creative ability of words. When God breathed life into Adam it was literally the wind of God that came into Adam's lungs and filled him with breath. Once that happened, from there Adam was able to speak, name the animals, and set his future on course through the power of his words. Today, through the infilling of the Holy Spirit, we have received the internal wind or breath of God that enables us to prophetically declare, speak and pray as the mouthpieces of God. In this book, Hank Kunneman compares through scripture the winds of the spirit to the four natural, directional winds on earth. Each type of wind in the Bible has a prophetic typology that we can glean from as we cooperate with the wind or breath of God within us. The Lord wants to use you as a mouthpiece that can speak for Him, pray out His plans, and prophesy with the wind of God in your mouth!

Book Understanding End Times Prophecy

Download or read book Understanding End Times Prophecy written by Paul Benware and published by Moody Publishers. This book was released on 2006-05-01 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

Book excerpt: In this dazzling reconsideration of the language of the Old and New Testaments, acclaimed scholar and translator of classical literature Sarah Ruden argues that the Bible’s modern translations often lack the clarity and vitality of the originals. Singling out the most famous passages, such as the Genesis creation story, the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Beatitudes, Ruden reexamines and retranslates from the Hebrew and Greek, illuminating what has been misunderstood and obscured in standard English translations. By showing how the original texts more clearly reveal our cherished values, Ruden gives us an unprecedented understanding of what this extraordinary document was for its earliest readers and what it can still be for us today.

Book Ancient Hebrew Periodization and the Language of the Book of Jeremiah

Download or read book Ancient Hebrew Periodization and the Language of the Book of Jeremiah written by Aaron Hornkohl and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2014-04-24 with total page 525 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Ancient Hebrew Periodization and the Language of the Book of Jeremiah, Aaron Hornkohl defends the diachronic approach to Biblical Hebrew and the linguistic dating of biblical texts. Applying the standard methodologies to the Masoretic version of the biblical book of Jeremiah, he seeks to date the work on the basis of its linguistic profile, determining that, though composite, Jeremiah is likely a product of the transitional time between the First and Second Temple Periods. Hornkohl also contributes to unraveling Jeremiah’s complicated literary development, arguing on the basis of language that its 'short edition', as reflected in the book’s Old Greek translation, predates that 'supplementary material' preserved in the Masoretic edition but unparalleled in the Greek. Nevertheless, he concludes that neither is written in Late Biblical Hebrew proper.
