On the other hand, digital transformation rapidly creates a world of ever-faster technological developments. In response, every business must think of itself as a tech business. Companies need to re-design their processes and ensure their people have the skills needed for a world where we increasingly collaborate and work alongside capable and intelligent machines. Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine has accelerated the schism and confrontation between the major global powers. Another point of tension is the US–China relations joining the trade, technological, economic, and geostrategic competition. This year will be more significant. But the world business before us is not divided into two concrete blocks. Instead, a full-scale reconfiguration of alliances is underway, which forces all other actors to reposition themselves about the new strategic competition dynamics and to seek out their own spaces in a global transformation. On the other hand, the green and the digital transitions, which seemed to work hand in hand towards building a more sustainable world, have collided. Against this backdrop, universities, as academic institutions, play an essential role in educating and providing professional human resources and conducting high-quality research that benefits humanity. However, universities must take a more significant part and be innovative and creative in engaging and supporting the development opportunities and consolidation of the Global community. To embark on this role effectively, universities must always foster communication and discussion among academicians, scholars, practitioners, and policymakers under the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). Academia, Government, Business, and Communities must increasingly cooperate to achieve academic and research excellence and constructive solutions to current business and economic issues. Sustainable Collaboration in Business, Information, and Innovation (SCBTII) 2023 is an international conference that brings together academics, professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, learners, and other associated groups from all over the world that is interested in theories, as well as practices in the field of the digital economy for global competitiveness. The position of Indonesia and most countries in IMF calculations, facing the same challenges. Each country requires the legal instruments of a good and reliable system of Government to guards against the worst possible economic turmoil. Good governance is an insistence of the constitution in the economic Article 33 paragraph (5), subsequently published Constitution Number: 30 Year of 2014 on Government Administration, contains 17 principles of a good governance. One of the important points of the principle is a government without corruption and manipulation of policy concepts in order to provide access to consolidation in politics and economy. The latest Transparency International report for 2023 shows that Indonesia's corruption perception index was recorded at 34 points on a scale of 0-100 in 2022. This is a 4-point decrease from the previous year. This decline in the CPI also brought down the ranking of Indonesia's CPI globally. It was noted that Indonesia's CPI in 2022 ranked 110th. In the previous year, Indonesia's CPI was ranked 96th globally. Good Governance is all aspects related to the control and supervision of the power of the Government in carrying out its functions through formal and informal institutions. To implement the principles of Good Governance and Clean Government, the Government must implement the principles of accountability and efficient resource management. Good and clean governance will contribute to economic growth and economic growth will have an impact on human development. During the last decades of 20th century, the needs for a good governance has given some impacts and became a recurring theme in literature related to human development. The intervention of government or the quality of government become crucially important in relation to the high achievement of human development. Whereas an effort in improving society's welfare is through economic development. One of dominant aspects in economic development is through legal development. Good law or policy in such country will have some impacts to the existence of good economic growth because supremacy of law is one aspect of a good governance. Law supremacy is an important institution which is related to economic growth because rule of law ensures personal safety, property rights, unbiased contract enforcement, stability of politics, freedom of speech and control of corruption. According to those various issues and debates on economic, legal development and good governance, then the Doctoral Program of the Faculty of Law Sebelas Maret University needs to hold an international conference as a place in exchanging some academic ideas in order to contributes to those legal issues with a theme, "INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON LAW, ECONOMICS, AND GOOD GOVERNANCE"

Book excerpt: This book seeks to understand how women judges are situated as legal knowers on the High Court of Australia by asking whether a near-equal gender balance on the High Court has disrupted the Court’s historically masculinist gender regime. This book examines how the High Court’s gender regime operates once there is more than one woman on the bench. It explores the following questions: How have the Court’s gender relations accommodated the presence women on the bench? How have the women themselves accommodated those pre-existing gender relations? How might legal judgments and reasoning change as a result of changing gender dynamics on the bench? To develop answers to these (and other) questions the book pursues a methodology that conceptualises the High Court as an institution with a particular gender regime shaped historically by the dominant gender order of the wider society. The intersection between the (gendered) individuals and the (gendered) institution in which they operate produces and reproduces that institution’s gender regime. Hence, the enquiry is not so much asking ‘have women judges made a difference?’ but rather is asking how should we understand women judges’ relationship with the law, a relationship that is shaped as much by the individual judge as by the institutional context in which they operate. Scholars, legal practitioners and researchers interested in judicial reasoning, gender diversity and the legal profession, gender and politics will be interested in this book because it breaks new ground as a case study of a Court’s gender regime at a particular time.
