Then, the author provides an in-depth analysis of two of the post-Maastricht developments in the context of free movement: the establishment of the status of Union citizenship by the Treaty of Maastricht in 1993 and the development of that status through the Court's recent jurisprudence; and the formal completion of the internal market in 1993, as required by the provisions inserted into the EC Treaty by the Single European Act. Focusing on the central issue of whether reverse discrimination is - and should remain - outside the scope of EC law, the author explains what has been the impact of each of these developments on the question of the permissibility of reverse discrimination in EC law. A brief discussion of the available solutions to the problem and their advantages and disadvantages concludes the presentation. This is a ground-breaking study in an area of European law that has received scant academic attention so far and is just beginning to be explored. In it, scholars, policymakers and practitioners will discover a firm foundation from which to pursue and ultimately define the limits of reverse discrimination in EC law.

Trata de los circuitos eléctricos trifásicos, especialmente como circuitos de potencia, cuya metodología y comportamiento en régimen sinusoidal es imprescindible conocer para entender la generación, el transporte y la distribución de la energía eléctrica (capítulo 1). Presenta una colección de problemas de transformadores monofásicos, orientados a la determinación de los parámetros del circuito equivalente a través de las pruebas de vacío y cortocircuito, así como a la determinación del rendimiento (capítulo 2). Asimismo, se presenta el trabajo de transformadores en paralelo. También se estudia el comportamiento de los transformadores trifásicos en régimen sinusoidal alimentando diferentes tipos de cargas (capítulo 3). Se dedica un capítulo a la resolución de problemas de máquinas asíncronas, especialmente a los motores trifásicos, ampliamente utilizados en la industria, pues el estudio de sus circuitos equivalentes, previa determinación de sus parámetros, es fundamental para la determinación del funcionamiento del motor (capítulo 4). Asimismo, se estudia la potencia del motor en distintas situaciones, así como el rendimiento del mismo y el proceso de arranque. Se hace referencia a los distintos ejercicios de máquinas síncronas, donde la máquina se estudia como generador y motor (capítulo 5). Varios de los problemas que se presentan en esta obra fueron ejercicios de examen en las diferentes convocatorias. Finalmente, se incluye un compendio de exámenes realizados en los últimos años (capítulo 6).
