Repères a été produit dans le cadre du Programme jeunesse d'éducation aux droits de l'homme initié par la Direction de la jeunesse et du Sport du Conseil de l'Europe en 2000, à l'occasion du 50ème anniversaire de la Convention européenne des Droits de l'Homme. Ce programme vise à placer les droits de l'homme au cœur du travail de jeunesse et, ce faisant, à favoriser la généralisation de l'éducation aux droits de l'homme. Repères propose un large éventail d'approches thématiques et méthodologiques qui devraient inspirer toute personne intéressée par les droits de l'homme, la démocratie et la citoyenneté.
