Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With every great writer, there came an initial spark of inspiration. Often, this spark ignites a fire that has the potential of being a raging inferno. Such was the case of this book, From Glory to Glory, which took nearly four decades to write and compile. The initial spark came in 1967 and did not turn into a blazing fire until the year 2000. By then, the author realized that writing was a God-given talent and was a calling in his life. It was then that he fully embraced that truth. Listening to the still voice that was in him, Ken was led by the Holy Spirit to focus on writing poems that were inspired by God. He wanted to captivate the reader with poems that had meaning and purpose-ones that would lead people to the truth, and then the truth would set them free. The secret that Ken discovered was if you give God the glory, then everything turns out right because you have gained His favor. And after God's favor, come His blessings. Truth and transparency have been two important traits of Ken's DNA. He doesn't feel he has accomplished what he has set out to do until you have captured his essence. This is key. So many times we see people who deceive others by being untruthful and by walking in the shadows. Ken seeks to change that. He believes that the truth is the light. Chosen by God to spread His message of agape (godly and unconditional) love in the simplest and most direct way, Ken seeks to make a difference in this world by touching one person at a time. As you read this book, may you not only extract the message of each poem, but may you also feel his heartbeat for all mankind.

Download or read book To God Be the Glory written by LaReine Miller and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2008-03 with total page 78 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: TO GOD BE THE GLORY is my tribute to the Heavenly Father who has granted me the gift of poetic inspiration-a gift I cherish dearly. I had to stop last year (then 1997) and ask God how He wanted me to use this gift. He answered me by allowing me to create 15 poems in 11 days that I was expected to share with others-which, of course, I did. Without this gift, I could not share with you what a few have had an opportunity to read. Thank You, Lord God. The poems contained in this volume were written as thoughts of God's goodness and mercy, His love and compassion, and His overwhelming grace were made evident to me through my life or the lives of people He brought my way. I would be remiss not to give Him the glory. I can never thank Him enough for the blessing that He has allowed my words to be for the people these poems were presented to or with whom I was allowed to share them. OUR HEAVENLY FATHER has given each of us special gifts. Many of us choose to play around with them, but never use them to enhance His kingdom. He's given everyone of us talents that are uniquely ours. Yes, some of us can draw, sing, dance, write, cook, heal, and/or entertain others. All of us have some God-given gift that has endeared us to someone else, even if it's nothing more than caring and taking care of one's fellow person. Don't waste or take for granted the abilities that God has given you. For if you fail to use them for the good of this world, you will find yourself without them. Share your gifts with others. No matter how insignificant they may appear to be to you, they may prove to be a blessing for someone else to enjoy. God Bless!

Book Joy To The World

Download or read book Joy To The World written by Delois Hill and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2019-06-05 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Joy to the World is a book of poems that represent the manifestation of the spirit in poetry as heard and seen through the eyes of the writer. These poems were given to illuminate, to strength and encourage, to pull down strongholds as we meditate on what is being said. The title Joy to the World was given to me at the end of this book by the Holy Spirit to echo the intent of the poems for all who will read them, joy to the soul. Joy to the World expresses the glory of God in His creation, the hosts of heaven and earth, the seen and unseen, the sun, the moon the stars and people, and the beauty in every season. There are poems describing the beauty in our surroundings as we pass through each given day, if we only look and see. There are other poems given to help us avoid one of life's strongest issues, and that is pride; it's that thing that blind us to the beauty of what's around us. Little Minds was written to put to death pride. In the back of the book, you will find thirty topics for meditation; each topic has a scripture reference for guidance as you read to write what was given you by the spirit. God deposited something great in each of us. If it's writing, be inspired to write the vision and make it plain, and whoever reads it will tell another. The intent of this book of poetry is to bring ‘Joy' to the soul and inspire a move of action for others to write, if a desire is there.

Download or read book Brandon Mayes Give God Glory written by Brandon Mayes and published by America Star Books. This book was released on 2014-09-24 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: BRANDON MAYES GIVE GOD GLORY, is a collection of poetry dedicated to God, Christians, and those searching for a faith to dedicate themselves to. The author speaks on lust, depression, the cry of a backslider, his testimonies, praise and worship. Don't expect a cute religious version of ""roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you."" This sugar bowl will fill the cavity in your heart, sweeten your journey of faith, and add flavor ot your inquisitive tastes. In the poems the author reflects on his past relationships, how he enjoyed them at first and how they pushed him into a deep depression when they ended. Furthermore, the author gives you a first class ticket into the depths of his sadness, and wet details to swim in. Readers will see how sin ruins friendships, and turn a man's face away from God. These are not just poems, these are the testimonies of a young man struggling to walk the Christian path. However, in the midst of these struggles, the author is careful to give God honor by writing praise and worship songs. Perhaps the greatest feature about this book is that it uses limited free verse poetry to communicate a limitless message. My name is Brandon Lemar Mayes, I'm 27-years-old. I was born May 21, 1986 to Thomas R. Mayes and Cynthia A. Mayes in Santa Ana, CA. I graduated from Seneca High School in 2004 and went on to spend 5 years at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where I studied Game Art and Design. Just as I scheduled to see a tutor for the preparation of my portfolio, I had to leave before graduation due to a prolonged and on-going mental illness. My love of art began when I was 7-years-old, I spent endless hours drawing characters. Soon I developed my own stories and would perform shows for my family using action figures. Toward the end of my stay in Pittsburgh, I began having doubts of graduating because one of my teachers gave me an F in the 3D props section of my portfolio; and that was my best work. To vent my frustrations, I began writing poetry. It felt natural, it felt like an art I could do. However, I didn't begin to take it seriously until my friend in animation class said ""B, your poetry is way stronger than your drawing"" and that was the turning point. From then on, poetry went from being just a platform to vent my frustrations, into being an extra limb to create with, and an extra tongue to communicate with. After writing about my own experiences, I find inspiration from others who I admire: Cee-Lo Green, Jill Scott, E-40 and for history's sake Paul Dunbar.

Book Poems of Faith in the Garden of Hope Grace

Download or read book Poems of Faith in the Garden of Hope Grace written by Tracy Matarazzo and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2020-03-18 with total page 43 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God knew the deceitfulness of Satan and the outcome in the Garden of Eden; why then did He plant the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil? It is a question that has been asked for centuries. In her book, Poems of Faith in the Garden of Hope and Grace, the author writes in her first poem “Genesis”, that God created all things good the way He envisioned it. He is omniscient—all knowing. God, the Creator, had the solution to mankind’s fall before He established the universe. He knew He’d present Himself on the cross and destroy the work of the devil. These poems speak of God’s hope and grace, how we can take our stand against the enemy and how one day He’ll reestablish a new Paradise!
