Book Poetry From The Simplicity Of Awakening

Download or read book Poetry From The Simplicity Of Awakening written by Colin Drake and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2017-12 with total page 86 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The aim of this book is to act as a stand-alone guide to, and practices for, Awakening and is mostly composed of articles, replies to questions and internet discussions on Awakening since the publication of Freedom From Anxiety and Needless Suffering. The thrust of the book is that the initial awakening which reveals that, in essence, we are Pure Awareness is very simple to obtain. Then this needs to be established by repeated awakenings due to the natural tendency to 'nod off' and re-identify oneself as a separate object in a universe of separate objects. When one is awake then anxiety and unnecessary mental suffering disappear, for these are caused by this misidentification which causes us to see each other, and the world, through a murky filter of self-interest, self-concern, self-promotion, self-aggrandizement, self-loathing, the list is almost endless. It is this world-view that causes the anxiety and mental suffering based on concern for the future and feeling we are bound by the past.

Book Poems of a Spiritual Awakening

Download or read book Poems of a Spiritual Awakening written by Anonymous and published by Abbott Press. This book was released on 2014-04-11 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Poems of a Spiritual Awakening offers an intimate look at one poets own spiritual awakening over a period of twenty-seven years, going into and out of recovery. Most critical to this awakening is the all-inclusive universal power of a loving God as He revealed Himself to the author through this inspiring poetry. After many years knowing that change was needed but having no success finding what others had discovered to enable their recoveries, the author began writing poetry to express those innermost feelings. Through these verses, God became an overwhelming presence, awakening the authors innermost emotions and the need to finally begin recovery from addiction. From the pain of acknowledging a troubled past in Boogie Man to the poignancy of Self Love, the author gradually found a way to express deeply buried emotions and fears. This poetry collection was written in less than fifty days, with God providing the path to release and recovery. The Voice I had a voice, I made much noise, I knew just what to do, I yelled in here, I talked out there, the voice within my mind, it drove me very blind. I thought out there, I thought out here, could hardly get some air, and then your voice, that still small sound, just threw me to the ground. It quieted my spirit true and showed me what to do.

Book Poetry of Spiritual Awakening

Download or read book Poetry of Spiritual Awakening written by Hilton L. Anderson and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2011-10-18 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Poetry of Spiritual Awakening presents a collection of poetry arranged in three groupings designed to indicate levels of conscious awareness experienced by author Hilton L. Anderson. Waking up spiritually is an individual process; even so, there are common themes experienced by many people that may help others in their own spiritual journey. In general terms, the separate ego state is focused primarily on the external reality while the spiritual is more focused on internal consciousness. Perhaps another way of explaining this spiritual awakening is recognizing the shift from the rational mind to heart consciousness. The way in which the poems of this collection are arranged is an attempt to make this shift obvious. Through the practice of forgiveness and the awareness of love, the separate self of the ego begins to lose its hold, allowing the awareness of the larger self to become the focus of attention. This awareness heals the separation of self from others and the Divine. Ultimately the awareness of the unitary nature of existence becomes known. The fear of death and its resolution are prominent concerns of many of the poems. The need to face the reality of death and understand it in a meaningful way is one of the basic learning explored by the poetry.

Book excerpt: I have always felt in my heart, yes, we can have it all. I didn't grow up in a religious environment, so I was given the freedom to seek my own spiritual journey. Everything opened up for me, after receiving ‘a gift’ during an angelic visitation, which occurred on January 11, 2011 at 1:00 a.m. Love all the ones ... angels! It just so happens to be my stepfather’s birthday. (He passed over November 7, 2006). I began writing poetry with ease, something that, in the past, has never been a forte of mine. It has taken me just over a year to work out exactly what this gift is, and I am now helping others to heal, transmuting their negative energy and giving them the self-empowerment to transform their lives and live in joy. I am in the process of writing a book about this experience, the events leading up to this and what has transpired since. This experience has changed my life. I find myself saying, this is the best I have felt in my whole life. All I can say is, blessings to God for answering my prayers, I am grateful.

Book Once Upon a Moonbeam

Download or read book Once Upon a Moonbeam written by April Morrow and published by Author House. This book was released on 2014-07-16 with total page 149 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What are your experiences of life? In this compilation of poetry written over a span of twenty years, the author takes you on an adventure --- one that is easily relatable to your own. Her own experience of awakening to joy and bliss, and connection with all of humanity, is expressed through her poems. We see that we are not all that different as human beings, even though our circumstances may be. In some ways, we are all still children at heart. Her words are at times playful and joyous; curious about life and our surroundings; and looking to what makes us who we are. The poems have a simplicity about them yet allow the reader to experience something beyond the surface and the words. They allow us to connect with all of mankind.

Its thrust is that the initial awakening which reveals that, in essence, we are Pure Awareness is very simple to obtain. Then this needs to be established by repeated awakenings due to the natural tendency to 'nod off' and re-identify oneself as a separate object in a universe of separate objects. When one is awake then anxiety and unnecessary mental suffering disappear, for these are caused by this misidentification which causes us to see each other, and the world, through a murky filter of self-interest, self-concern, self-promotion, self-loathing etc. On Awakening one discovers that there truly is no separate self and this filter is removed allowing us to see the world 'as it is' with no self-concern for the future or past. This gives a great ease and lightness of being which is (en)lightenment in the literal sense of the word...

Book Awaken Now Is Your Time

Book excerpt: There are spiritual events that happen in our lifetime that cause us to pause for a moment in our hurried and busy lives. Events that make us take notice and ponder life, to wonder, to look up, to look within, and sometimes to brush off. Each time the events happen, you begin to realize that perhaps they require a more "in depth" attention. So your journey becomes to seek internally. Seek for the answers to your questions. This book is a collection of inspirational writings, poetry, and the personal writings of discovery that detail my "awakening" to the spirit-filled world, and how I took action with the supernatural knowledge lovingly given to me, that has made a difference in my life today. I have become an active seeker. As I continue to follow the illumination, this journey has become one of the most beautiful flowerings in my life. MaryAnn Suan is an award winning published poet. She received the prestigious "Editor's Choice Award" for her poem, "Awaken, Sweet Bud, to Blossom". This poem demonstrates her artistic accomplishments and unique perspective. And with this first book, she has become an inspirational writer. She lives in Elk Grove, Ca. She is happily married, and has four beautiful daughters, two cats, and two bunnies. She has a love and wonder for nature, and for the beauties of flowers. Her favorite spiritual quote is: "I can do everything through him who gives me strength" Philippians 4:13 (niv)
