Book Spectroscopic Properties of Inorganic and Organometallic Compounds

Download or read book Spectroscopic Properties of Inorganic and Organometallic Compounds written by G Davidson and published by Royal Society of Chemistry. This book was released on 2007-10-31 with total page 498 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Spectroscopic Properties of Inorganic and Organometallic Compounds provides a unique source of information on an important area of chemistry. Divided into sections mainly according to the particular spectroscopic technique used, coverage in each volume includes: NMR (with reference to stereochemistry, dynamic systems, paramagnetic complexes, solid state NMR and Groups 13-18); nuclear quadrupole resonance spectroscopy; vibrational spectroscopy of main group and transition element compounds and coordinated ligands; and electron diffraction. Reflecting the growing volume of published work in this field, researchers will find this Specialist Periodical Report an invaluable source of information on current methods and applications. Specialist Periodical Reports provide systematic and detailed review coverage in major areas of chemical research. Compiled by teams of leading experts in their specialist fields, this series is designed to help the chemistry community keep current with the latest developments in their field. Each volume in the series is published either annually or biennially and is a superb reference point for researchers. www.rsc.org/spr

Book Multifrequency Electron Paramagnetic Resonance

Download or read book Multifrequency Electron Paramagnetic Resonance written by Sushil K. Misra and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2011-03-31 with total page 990 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Filling the gap for a systematic, authoritative, and up-to-date review of this cutting-edge technique, this book covers both low and high frequency EPR, emphasizing the importance of adopting the multifrequency approach to study paramagnetic systems in full detail by using the EPR method. In so doing, it discusses not only the underlying theory and applications, but also all recent advances -- with a final section devoted to future perspectives.

Book Coordination Chemistry of Macrocyclic Compounds

Download or read book Coordination Chemistry of Macrocyclic Compounds written by Gordon Melson and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 676 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chemists have been aware of the existence of coordination compounds con taining organic macrocyclic ligands since the first part of this century ; however, only during the past few years have they expanded research into the chemistry of these compounds. The expansion was initiated in the early 1960s by the synthesis and characterization of compounds containing some new macrocyclic ligands. The synthesis of compounds which may serve as model systems for some natural products containing large rings as ligands provided the main goal for the early expansion of research effort; indeed, a recurrent theme behind much of the reported chemistry has been the analogy between synthetic macrocyclic compounds and many natural-product systems. More recently, the emphases of reported research have ranged over the whole spectrum of chemistry, and the number of publications that discuss macrocyclic chemistry has increased at a dramatic rate. The completed research has been reported in a variety of journals throughout the world but there has been no previous attempt to bring the major developments together under one cover. This book, therefore, attempts to satisfy the need for a single source in which there is both a collection and a correlation of information concerning the coordination chemistry of macrocyclic compounds. The chapters in this book discuss various aspects of macrocyclic chemistry, and while these chapters as a whole constitute an in-depth survey of the state-of the-art of the field, each chapter is written as a complete unit.

Book Frontiers of Solid State Chemistry

Download or read book Frontiers of Solid State Chemistry written by Shou-Hua Feng and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2002 with total page 612 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Solid state chemistry is a multidisciplinary field that deals with the synthesis, structural characterization and properties of various solids, and it has been playing a more and more important role in the design and preparation of advanced materials. This book includes the excellent research results recently obtained by a wide spectrum of solid state chemists both from China and from abroad. Among the distinguished contributors are C N R Rao, M Greenblatt and Y T Qian, to name a few. A variety of subjects representing the frontiers of solid state chemistry ? which are categorized into solids with electrical, optical and magnetic properties; porous solids and catalysts; hybrid inorganic-organic solids; solid nanomaterials; and new synthetic methods and theory ? are presented. This book will benefit readers who are interested in the chemistry and physics of solids, as well as materials scientists and engineers. The proceedings have been selected for coverage in: ?
