Book Everybody s Guide to Nature Cure

Download or read book Everybody s Guide to Nature Cure written by Harry Benjamin and published by Read Books Ltd. This book was released on 2013-03-05 with total page 597 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: That there is a very great necessity for a popularly written book on Natural Healing—or Nature Cure, as it is called—in this disease–ridden world of ours has been only too obvious to the writer for several years. The present volume may be taken, therefore, as his attempt to meet this long-felt need. For everyone who knows anything about Nature Cure, and has realised through personal experience what its methods of treatment can do for suffering humanity, there are tens of thousands still completely ignorant as to its very existence in the world of healing, and are, as a consequence, still gripped fast within the clutches of orthodox belief and faith in the “absoluteness” and “sanctity” of Medical Science, even though in many instances they have had ample evidence of its inability to help them in their own particular cases. In the course of his daily experience as a Naturopath—or practitioner of Nature Cure—the writer is being brought continually into contact with scores of people, drawn from every rank of society, who had previously spent practically all their time and money going from doctor to doctor, specialist to specialist, hospital to hospital, in the vain hope of being cured of the diseases from which they had been suffering, only to find these same diseases becoming worse, not better, at medical hands. Indeed, in many instances, they had at last been given up as “incurable,” doomed to a life of chronic invalidism, because of the inability of the men whom the nation instinctively regards as its saviours from disease to do anything for them.

Book Nature Cure Henry Lindlahr

Download or read book Nature Cure Henry Lindlahr written by Henry Lindlahr and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2010-01-09 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Nature Cure," which involves the art of science and living, is the practical application of natural science, religion and philosophy. This book is an in depth guide to many diseases and their natural treatment. Originating in Europe in the early twentieth century, the "Nature Cure" movement laid the foundations for much of complementary medicine and naturopathy as we know it today. Dr Henry Lindlahr, one of the pioneers of "Nature Cure" popularized the movement in the West. Eloquent and passionate about his theories, Dr. Lindlahr outlines the principles and practical applications of "Nature Cure" in this ground-breaking book. In "Nature Cure," Lindlahr creates a comprehensive philosophy of natural therapeutics, considering the role of diet, natural remedies and preventative therapies as well as other practical ways to maintain and promote physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. This edition includes a complete index in the back of the book, as well as the diagrams provided by Dr. Lindlahr.

Book Naturopathic Physical Medicine

Download or read book Naturopathic Physical Medicine written by Leon Chaitow and published by Elsevier Health Sciences. This book was released on 2008-05-30 with total page 594 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NATUROPATHIC PHYSICAL MEDICINE provides a philosophical naturopathic perspective, as well as practical clinical applications, for manual and physical approaches to health care. A wide range of bodywork and movement approaches and modalities are evaluated in relation to their ability to be appropriately used in naturopathic treatment and rehabilitation settings. The model of care emphasised in this text recognizes that naturopathically oriented therapeutic interventions usually focus on achieving one or all of the following: enhancement of function so that the person, system or part, can better self-regulate in response to adaptive demands; modification or removal of adaptive load factors; and symptomatic relief without creation of significant additional adaptive changes.
