Book A Beginner s Guide to Life After Death

Download or read book A Beginner s Guide to Life After Death written by Peter Shires and published by . This book was released on 2000 with total page 135 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Peter Shires was an agnostic. For over 30 years, he believed that life started at birth and ended with death. After an unusual set of circumstances, he found out that as he held a pen loosely in his hand it appeared to write on its own. Once he overcame his fear he was able to accept that he had an unusual ability, that he was 'gifted' with what is known as 'automatic writing'. What came about was a series of spontaneous teachings by two divine beings, Wilhelm and John. Peter was opened up as a channel and asked to pass on important information, intended for everyone. The knowledge and understanding that Peter received was enough to change his life and subsequently the lives of others. Through word of mouth, this manuscript has been photocopied and passed around from person to person for the last 20 years. From the hundreds of letters received, we know that it has brought solace and comfort to those in need and those interested in reincarnation and curious about the 'life hereafter'. It has helped those who are bereaved, feeling lost and in search of reassurance and answers. This personal account by Peter Shires and the teachings that followed will help you to unravel the 'mystery' of life and find out more about yourself.

Book Life After Life Lifting the Veil on Death

Download or read book Life After Life Lifting the Veil on Death written by Rajendra Kher and published by One Point Six Technology Pvt Ltd. This book was released on 2019-04-20 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two great truths govern human existence: impermanence is the law of the Universe and therefore it is inevitable, but the jeewatma (soul) is permanent and lives forever. When one views human existence from the perspective of this knowledge, then the only certitude is that there is no death. With the materialization of the Universe the wheel of time was set in motion, imprinting preordained impermanence. Yet, despite the world’s impermanence, Man is offered the opportunity of acquiring knowledge and achieving spiritual growth within his lifespan. The cosmic soul momentarily adopts a human body to experience advancement in human form. But when the jeewatma departs the physical body from one of the five koshas (sheaths), it is released from this confinement and bondage into the joyful revelation of its true nature. The soul experiences divine love and achieves a state of timelessness. The demise of the human body thus becomes the moment for joyful fulfillment – when the jeewatma achieves ultimate growth and eternal beauty. Though the human form and external body decays, the jeewatma or the subtle body/soul, remains intact in its true and original form. Litterateur Rajendra Kher has spent long years studying the subject of death. He has researched both ancient and modern references, as well as the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad-Gita, Srimad Bhagvatam and various mythological literature in his attempt to unravel and comprehend death and ‘life after life’. He has also analyzed the personal experiences of rishis, scholars, masters and yogis; adding his findings to the book to make it comprehensive. The gift contained in these pages is the lifting of the veil on death. In so doing, it frees each of us from unknown fears and dread about death and dying, enabling us to experience instead, true happiness and the grace of living.

Book Seven Steps to Eternity

Download or read book Seven Steps to Eternity written by Stephen Turoff and published by CLAIRVIEW BOOKS. This book was released on 2012-07-09 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “I died in the Battle of the Somme...” These were the astonishing first words spoken to clairvoyant and healer Stephen Turoff by the soul of James Legett, a young soldier who was killed in the First World War. For two years, the world famous psychic surgeon communicated with the soldier’s soul, and in the process wrote down his remarkable story; not the tale of Legett’s tragically short life on the physical plane, but of his death on a battlefield in France and his soul’s subsequent journey into the afterlife. Although he works with many discarnate spirits in his clinic, the dyslexic Turoff was initially reluctant to undertake the task of writing a book. But he was persuaded by the boisterous and genial soul of the dead man. Their literary collaboration involved an unusual method: Legett presented spiritual pictures to Turoff, who with clairvoyant perception interpreted them into words. The result is this enlightening testimony of life beyond the illusion of death, filled with insight, spiritual wisdom and delightful humour. It is written to show that we are all eternal; there is no death... only change.

Book The Making of Yeats s A Vision

Download or read book The Making of Yeats s A Vision written by George Mills Harper and published by SIU Press. This book was released on 1987 with total page 492 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: According to Yeats, his wife surprised him on 24 October 1917, four days after their marriage, “by attempting automatic writing.” Excited, he offered to spend the remainder of his life organizing and explaining the “scattered sentences.” Over a period of approximately 30 months they collaborated in 450 sittings, he asking questions, she responding to fill a total of more than 3,600 pages. Quoting copiously from the Script, Harper has traced in two volumes these incredible experiments day by day as the Yeatses moved about England, Ireland, and America. He has also cited hundreds of parallel explanatory passages from many workbooks, notebooks, and the concordance arranged like a card index in which Yeats codified the System he projected in A Vision and numerous poems and plays. Harper also has examined the extensive personal revelations that were excluded from A Vision and carefully concealed in many passages of “personal Script.” As Professor Harper demonstrates, Yeats had these often oblique, highly allusive passages in mind when he admitted “To Vestigia” that he had “not even dealt with the whole of my subject, perhaps not even with what is most important, writing nothing about the Beatific Vision, little of sexual love.”

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Published in 1917, ‘The New Revelation’ by author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a collection of his thoughts about religion, spiritualism, and the afterlife. An advocate of spiritualism throughout his later life (for which he received much ridicule and criticism) Doyle reasons throughout ‘The New Revelation’ for its existence and validity, citing his own personal experiences. A fascinating insight into the beliefs and interests of the world-famous author. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930) was a British author, best known as the creator of the world-famous detective Sherlock Holmes. Born in Edinburgh, he was educated in England and Austria before studying medicine at the University of Edinburgh. It was during his time at university that Doyle began writing short stories, submitting them to magazines and journals. His first Sherlock Holmes novel, ‘A Study in Scarlet’ was written in just three weeks and published in 1887 to favourable reviews, and more Sherlock adventures followed. By 1893, Doyle was growing tired of Sherlock and attempted to kill him off in the story ‘The Final Problem’, but public outcry caused him to resurrect the famous detective. He featured in a total of 56 short stories and four novels along with his trusty sidekick Dr Watson and made Doyle one of the best-paid authors of the time. The stories have been adapted multiple times; most recently in the successful BBC series ‘Sherlock’ starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Later literary works included the Professor Challenger series which began with ‘The Lost World’, in which Challenger sets out to find evidence of prehistoric life. The book inspired numerous adaptations, including the films ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘The Lost World’. In later life Doyle became captivated by the world of spiritualism and the occult and published non-fiction works about his beliefs including ‘The Coming of the Fairies’. Arthur Conan Doyle died at home in 1930.
