Book The Panty Theory

Download or read book The Panty Theory written by Victorie Powers and published by Tate Publishing. This book was released on 2011-08 with total page 340 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'Here's what I learned in the panty lesson. My life is so jumbled up right now, and I try each individual thing and try to unravel it and fix it. And when it doesn't happen, I become anxious and really frustrated. So I think I need to look for the obvious source of the knot and concentrate on that.' ... 'So you think that the panty theory is all about following my truth?' 'Yes, Victorie, I do.' Andy nodded his head slowly. 'I'm not saying it will be easy, but I think it's necessary for your healing to follow your truth wherever it is taking you.' Victorie Powers seemed like just another suburban Christian housewife, taking care of her husband and girls. But deep inside, she was very troubled and very much in denial about the ugly, dark events from her teenage years. That is until a dispute with a mortgage company over a missing payment resulted in trouble for her family. Only when she learns that her daughters are suffering because they are watching her suffer does she realize it's time to sort through the pain of the past. And so begins a long, often distressing, but ultimately triumphant journey through therapy with Andy, her Christian therapist. Through a divine lesson of untangling panties, as well as therapy sessions with Andy, Victorie's turmoil is relived. Readers will feel her raw emotions, hurting when she hurts and cheering when she finds moments of joy. Jaws will drop at some of the shocking revelations; hearts will ache, and hearts will be healed as Victorie's heart is made whole again through purging the past and learning to love and accept herself in a way never before possible. This is a story from denial to acceptance, from blame to forgiveness, from trauma to triumph. Join Victorie as she learns to follow her truth in The Panty Theory.

Book excerpt: Deacon Hunter is domineering. Condescending. Infuriating. And yet I can’t seem to keep my panties on for five minutes when we’re alone together. He keeps melting them right off. With that sexy voice, those confident hands, the way he brings my body wildly to life, he’s proved my libido hasn’t gone into permanent, post-divorce hibernation after all. Surely there’s no harm in being enemies with benefits… Right? *** When Violet Boden asks me to take her Divorce Virginity, the only thing I can think is—come again? No, seriously, come again. And again and again, until both of us are so satisfied we can’t remember the people who did us wrong. Best if we keep conversation to a minimum, though, considering I drive her crazy. She drives me crazy sometimes, too. But she’s also sweet, loyal, fearless, and so much fun she’s making it damn hard not to fall for her. But how to convince a woman who’s put me in the emotional no-fly zone that I deserve a place in her heart? As well as in her panties… KEYWORDS: Over 40 Romance, Older Man, Older Woman, Mature Romance, Second Chances, Alpha Male, Romantic Comedy, Heartwarming, Laugh out Loud, Small Town, Wine Country, Romance, Family Life, Contemporary Romance, Friendship Books, Romance Marriage, Romance Drama, Love Story Books, Books Love Stories, Baby Romance, Romance with Pregnancy, Family Saga Romance, Sweet and Sexy Romances, Enemies to Lovers Romance, Friends to Lovers Romance, Contemporary Adult Romance, Drama Romance Books, Romance and Drama Books, Romance Baby, Baby and Romance, Literature and Fiction, Contemporary, Marriage, Family Life, New Adult, Boy Next Door Romance, Lighthearted Romance, Light Romance, Heartwarming, Family, Quick Read, Romance Fiction Books, Hot Guy, Love, Love Books, Kissing Books, Long Series, Long Romance Series, Swoon, Loyalty, Love Story, Romance Love, Lili Valente, L. Book excerpt: Over the past fifty years dramatic ideas and discoveries have arisen out of the work of analysts. In Phantasy in Everyday Life the author is mainly concerned with Melanie Klein's contribution to the field and with everyday application of her theories. Central to the author's theme is Melanie Klein's concept of phantasy - the unconscious fantasies which control our assumptions, our thoughts, our emotions and our behavior. The first half of the book is concerned with daily life; the second more with theoretical issues. Written from her direct experience, the author's work will prove invaluable both to professionals and to the wider general public.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In an epic clash of the higher beings marshaled by the power-drunk alpha archangel, Vincelas with the Anthros led by eighteen year old Iula and the half-breed Karina, destiny unfolds in an intricate collage of passion, pride, greed, jealousy, blood and betrayal. On one of her regular evening walks through the enthralling forests of Amazonia, Athena, the beautiful queen of the Amazons, accompanied by her maidservants is lured by a magical and colorful vanishing creature into the presence of an old hag who prophesies about the destiny of the child she conceived that fateful night in which she broke the most sacred of Amazonian customs. Eighteen years afterwards, Iula, the son of the legendary Archeropian King, during the final rite of passage to warriorhood is captured by the Amazons amongst whom is Karina, the prophesied daughter of Athena and taken to Ambrosia, the land of the fairies. As he is brutally questioned to reveal the location of their sister fairies that had been systematically kidnapped for over a decade by his clan, a group of Archeropian warriors led by his father charge into Ambrosia and precipitate an intense and bloody battle during which his father, Leon is killed and Iula moved to Amazonia as a prisoner of war. Meanwhile, Vincelas, the alpha-archangel has built a massive army composed of the higher beings; archangels and elementals and has succeeded in uniting them behind the sole aim of decimating the Anthro population for recondite reasons which will not until the very end be revealed, but especially to hunt down and kill a then unknown half-breed who is also the daughter of his general, Juno. Juno manages to slip to Amazonia to warn Athena and bids her to follow his lead to a special place where she should be safe from the upcoming destruction but she refuses, choosing to stay with her clans people and instead attempts to forge an alliance with the Archeropians in order to organize an effective counter-offensive to the attack by the higher beings. Exasperated, Juno unsuccessfully attempts an anonymous coup to strike at Vincelas coalition from the heart.Kazan, Iulas uncle is very much against the unification of the two clans as he is aware that his own ambitions for power will be thwarted with their union and cunningly draws up an elaborate manipulative scheme to keep this from happening. After his clan reconciles with the Amazons, Iula and Karina lead an integration campaign as they adventure all over the world to enchanted lands inhabited by mystical creatures and the various Anthro races to recruit their own warriors in joining the largest army ever assembled in the history of the world. Intense drama ensues on their exciting but dangerous journey even as they struggle with the dynamics of their own growing attraction toward each other. Finally, in an epic clash of the Anthros with the higher beings, notwithstanding the loss of several valiant lives, the Anthro race emerges victorious and Vincelas is magically turned into a halfarchangel, half-anthro creature; the perfect cure for his hubris. Kazan, in a final desperate attempt at claiming the throne over the newly unified Anthro race attempts to poison Iula but is outsmarted by Iulas mother and ends up drinking the poison himself.

Book Time Space and Phantasy

Download or read book Time Space and Phantasy written by Rosine Jozef Perelberg and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-12-16 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Time, Space, and Phantasy examines the connections between time, space, phantasy and sexuality in clinical practice. It explores the subtleties of the encounter between patient and analyst, addressing how aspects of the patient’s unconscious past are actualised in the present, producing new meanings that can be re-translated to the past. Perelberg’s analysis of Freud’s Multi-dimensional model of temporality suggests that he always viewed the constitution of the individual as non-linear. In Freud’s formulations, the individual is decentred and ruled by different temporalities, most of which escape their consciousness. Perelberg identifies the similarities between this and Einstein’s theory of relativity which states that rather than being absolute, time depends on the relative position and speed of the observing individual suggesting that rather than being a reality, time is an abstraction, connecting objects and events. Throughout this text, Perelberg draws together connections between time, mental space, and phantasy showing how time is constantly reshaped in the light of new events and experiences. This book will be of interest to psychoanalysts, psychotherapists, psychologists, and social workers.

Book Phantasy Land of the Beyond

Download or read book Phantasy Land of the Beyond written by Just Dave and published by Partridge Singapore. This book was released on 2014-07-31 with total page 171 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A modern-day-fairy-tale fantasy novel partially based on facts set in the Singapore of the '80s with a sci-fi prologue and a fairy-tale opening. Self-explanatory, really (read it to find out). Written mainly in American English with a dash of Singlish, and sometimes, broken English (on purpose, of course!). Main character is Dave, a prince from the fantasy kingdom of Phantasy, who was left in the care of a childless couple, the Teos from Singapore, as a baby by his father, King Devonus, in order to save him from the evil clutches of a nefarious warlock called Secondras. Supporting characters include a royal palace guard dog-man called Musscus, the royal head steward Hootus, and of course, the main character's love interest who only appeared near the end of the story for a brief period only. There are a lot of made-up interesting names in this fantasy novel. It is a work of fiction after all. The readers will be able to identify with the characters as the story unfolds with plenty of interesting and unexpected moments. Started out as a lone fantasy book, but became apparent that it was part of a trilogy as I continued working on it. Guaranteed to make the reader laugh, hate, love, and weep as he or she follows and grows with the book to the end. Many ideas in this book are not found in most other books of the same genre. Unique and one-of-a-kind, really. Go on, read it, and find out more. I dare you to!

Download or read book Unconscious Phantasy written by Riccardo Steiner and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-03-21 with total page 268 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'There is no doubt that "phantasy" or "unconscious phantasy", as it started to be used in the English translation of Freud's work in the late 1920s and 1930s to differentiate it from "fantasy", is one of the most important theoretical and clinical concepts of psychoanalysis.'- Riccardo Steiner, from the IntroductionIn this outstanding new collection, the vital concept of unconscious phantasy is debated and examined by such luminaries as Joseph and Anne-Marie Sandler, Jean Laplanche, J-B Pontalis, Susan Isaacs and Hanna Segal. Sigmund Freud's seminal paper Formulations of the Two Principles of Mental Functioning heads an impressive collection and provides a welcome reminder of the beginnings of this theory. The inherent difficulties in translating Freud's work have contributed to the conflicting interpretations that are so illustrated so well in the following articles. By collecting together such diverse opinions of Freudians, Kleinians, Lacanians and Neuroscientists on unconscious phantasy, Riccardo Steiner has created a fresh and compelling elucidation of this fascinating subject.
