Download or read book Keep Your Eternal Passport in a Safe Place written by Welday Ansel and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2015-03-20 with total page 105 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life is all about a journey. Everybody is on some kind of journey in his life knowingly or unknowingly. For every journey, there is a starting point; in other words, to start a journey, everybody needs a foundation which determines his final destination. If the foundation is wrong, then the whole journey will also be in the wrong direction, and nothing is worse than travelling in the wrong direction throughout your life. If you miss the real root you cant bear the real fruit for your root determines your fruit. In the spiritual world, so many people are fake passport holders. They claim to inherit the kingdom of God but they can never inherit it until they accept this truth. The only truth is if Christ is your foundation, then heaven is your destination. Jesus Christ is the only way who can guide you throughout the journey, from the foundation to the final destination. By using the journey of the Israelites for forty years as a model in my book Keep Your Eternal Passport in a Safe Place, we will see how to finish successfully the journey of life from the foundation to the final destination.

Download or read book The Spiritual Life written by Tyler G. Walton and published by FriesenPress. This book was released on 2021-12-08 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In our modern selfie and soundbite society, so many of us struggle with connection and self-acceptance. We rely on our keyboards and screens, and masks that hide who we really are ... even from ourselves. Rather than having character, we become characters. Rather than being grateful for what we have, we feel entitled to all of it and more. With this mindset, it is easy to fool ourselves into thinking that we are fine the way we are, and that “they” are the problem, abdicating any responsibility for our failures or failings and remaining stuck in situations and circumstances that hurt ourselves and everyone around us. Whether we’re facing the rock bottom of homelessness and drug addiction or simply strained relationships with friends and loved ones, an examination of our self-defeating beliefs and habits can make a world of difference. The Spiritual Life: Finding Freedom From Homelessness, Hunger, and Heroin takes readers on a journey from the depths of despair and dejection to the rejuvenation of a life worth living, all through an inward focus that helps nurture and develop a healthier outward look.
Download or read book REDEEMED TO RETURN written by Dr. Lisa Bruce and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2009-08-31 with total page 177 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When Adam's eyes were opened for the first time, he saw an alternative route outside of the will of God. Some would say, That day, he took a freedom train driven by the human will, making every designated stop outside of God's presence. Many Christians have gotten on the same train, a chosen freighter that can only take us but so far, like church and back home again. Yet Jesus is standing at the end of the tracks, encouraging us to go a little bit further because our Heavenly Father is waiting for us with outstretched arms. We were redeemed to return back to the posture of Adam before the fall, destined never to fall again, unless we desire to lay prostrate before the Lord.
Download or read book Deliverance and Spiritual Body Mapping written by Carolyn Steidley and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2016-06-13 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Will you go to hell for me? asked the Lord. I remember standing in my living room stunned. It took me a few days to be able to answer him. I replied with a shaking, Yes. He then took me in a vision to the gates of hell. I could smell the sulfur and feel the heat. The gates were huge thick black iron, they swung open as I approached. I was standing on stepping stones just big enough for my feet and lava swirled around the stones. I heard the Lords voice, Dont be afraid Carolyn. I have a net around you and yours. I looked and saw a large net all around me. I continued along the stones and then I saw it - a hand reached desperately to me out of the lava. I grabbed a hold and pulled for all I was worth! The vision ended. From that vision, I learned there are people all around us who are in the own personal hells. We are to set the captives free! The Lord gave me a way to help. It is called Spiritual Body Mapping and it works! It is an amazing way to quickly diagnose and target the strengths as well as areas that need to be addressed in an individuals life. As you read this book, I pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation to enlighten you. God Bless you, Carolyn Steidley
Download or read book Passport to Heaven written by Micah Wilder and published by Harvest House Publishers. This book was released on 2021-06-01 with total page 353 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “You have a call, Elder Wilder.” When missionary Micah Wilder set his sights on bringing a Baptist congregation into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he had no idea that he was the one about to be changed. Yet when he finally came to know the God of the Bible, Micah had no choice but to surrender himself—no matter the consequences. For a passionate young Mormon who had grown up in the Church, finding authentic faith meant giving up all he knew: his community, his ambitions, and his place in the world. Yet as Micah struggled to reconcile the teachings of his Church with the truths revealed in the Bible, he awakened to his need for God’s grace. This led him to be summoned to the door of the mission president, terrified but confident in the testimony he knew could cost him everything. Passport to Heaven is a gripping account of Micah’s surprising journey from living as a devoted member of a religion based on human works to embracing the divine mercy and freedom that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

Download or read book The Spirit of Our Work written by Cynthia B. Dillard and published by Beacon Press. This book was released on 2021-11-16 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An exploration of how engaging identity and cultural heritage can transform teaching and learning for Black women educators in the name of justice and freedom in the classroom In The Spirit of Our Work, Dr. Cynthia Dillard centers the spiritual lives of Black women educators and their students, arguing that spirituality has guided Black people throughout the diaspora. She demonstrates how Black women teachers and teacher educators can heal, resist, and (re)member their identities in ways that are empowering for them and their students. Dillard emphasizes that any discussion of Black teachers’ lives and work cannot be limited to truncated identities as enslaved persons in the Americas. The Spirit of Our Work addresses questions that remain largely invisible in what is known about teaching and teacher education. According to Dillard, this invisibility renders the powerful approaches to Black education that are imbodied and marshaled by Black women teachers unknown and largely unavailable to inform policy, practice, and theory in education. The Spirit of Our Work highlights how the intersectional identities of Black women teachers matter in teaching and learning and how educational settings might more carefully and conscientiously curate structures of support that pay explicit and necessary attention to spirituality as a crucial consideration.

Download or read book The Happiness Passport written by Megan C Hayes and published by White Lion Publishing. This book was released on 2018-10-30 with total page 147 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Exploring the global dictionary, from common languages to obscure dialects, The Happiness Passport takes the reader on a joyful journey around the world seeking out the secrets of wellbeing. The wonderfully evocative words in this collection resonate with universal emotions: the deep longing for home conjured up by the Welsh word hiraeth, or the transportive ability of good storytelling captured in the Urdu goya. Yet at the same time each is deeply ingrained in its place of origin: long, dark Danish days encourage the warmth and cosiness of hygge, while the satisfied chatter after a sun-soaked meal - sombremesa - resonates uniquely with Spanish hospitality. These words are simultaneously all-inclusive and peculiar to place; they are on the tip of our tongue and yet not in our vocabulary. The Happiness Passport delves into this treasure trove of delights, examining the cultural context of each and the lessons that we can apply in our own lives to achieve greater contentment. A must-read for all those seeking a more balanced life, this beautiful guide features original illustrations that conjure up each elusive expression.
Download or read book Paul the Spirit and the People of God written by Gordon D. Fee and published by Baker Academic. This book was released on 1994-09-01 with total page 268 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "In Paul, the Spirit, and the People of God, Pentecostal scholar Gordon Fee has redefined the terms of the discussion about the Holy Spirit in a way that transcends today's paradigm of 'charismatic' or 'noncharismatic' orientation. His words are a strong reminder of what God, through his Holy Spirit, intends the church to be. . . . His work is an attempt to point us back to the Bible and reinvigorate our own vision of how the Spirit mobilizes the community of believers in the local church."--Wendy Murray, author; former senior writer, Christianity Today "Gordon Fee, one of our truly master exegetes, has put steel and sinew into the words Spirit, spirit, and spiritual--words that have become flabby through subjectivizing indulgence and lack of exegetical exercise. His accurate, fresh, and passionate recovery of the place and meaning of Spirit in Paul and for us Christians is a provocative stimulus and reliable guide to the recovery of the experienced presence of God in our lives. For those of us who want to live in continuity with all that has been revealed in Jesus and given in the Spirit, this is an eminently practical book."--Eugene H. Peterson, professor emeritus of spiritual theology, Regent College "Gordon Fee is one of the finest Bible expositors I have known. Whenever he speaks and writes, I listen, and recommend you do the same."--Chuck Colson, founder, Prison Fellowship Ministries
