Book Solid Phase Organic Syntheses Volume 2

Download or read book Solid Phase Organic Syntheses Volume 2 written by Peter J. H. Scott and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2012-07-02 with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Integrates solid-phase organic synthesis with palladium chemistry The Wiley Series on Solid-Phase Organic Syntheses keeps researchers current with major accomplishments in solid-phase organic synthesis, providing full experimental details. Following the validated, tested, and proven experimental procedures, readers can easily perform a broad range of complex syntheses needed for their own experiments and industrial applications. The series is conveniently organized into themed volumes according to the specific type of synthesis. This second volume in the series focuses on palladium chemistry in solid-phase synthesis, exploring palladium catalysts and reactions, procedures for preparation and utilization, ligands, and linker reactions. The first part of the volume offers a comprehensive overview of the field. Next, the chapters are organized into three parts: Part Two: Palladium-Mediated Solid-Phase Organic Syntheses Part Three: Immobilized Catalysts and Ligands Part Four: Palladium-Mediated Multifunctional Cleavage Each chapter is written by one or more leading international experts in palladium chemistry. Their contributions reflect a thorough examination and review of the current literature as well as their own first-hand laboratory experience. References at the end of each chapter serve as a gateway to the field's literature. The introduction of palladium-mediated, cross-coupling reactions more than thirty years ago revolutionized the science of carbon-carbon bond formation. It has now become a cornerstone of today's synthetic organic chemistry laboratory. With this volume, researchers in organic and medicinal chemistry have access to a single resource that explains the fundamentals of palladium chemistry in solid-phase synthesis and sets forth clear, step-by-step instructions for conducting their own syntheses.

Book The Total Synthesis of Natural Products

Download or read book The Total Synthesis of Natural Products written by John ApSimon and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2009-09-22 with total page 720 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Organic chemistry's innovative breadth is especially noteworthy in the area of natural products synthesis. Since the early 1970s, this landmark chemical reference has been documenting the newest and most important of these, in a readily understood format, that clearly traces each of their synthetic routes. Volume Eight, the latest in the series, contains a long-awaited look at the synthesis of tri- and tetracyclic diterpenes, along with the synthesis of naturally occurring quinones. Recent interest in the biologically important polysaccharides has led to a detailed consideration of that compound class. Finally, this new volume contains a look at the strategies and methods specific to natural products containing the spiroketal functional group. The Total Synthesis of Natural Products, Volume Eight, continues the meticulous work of the series, providing chemists with an entirely up-to-date and convenient guide to the critical new syntheses essential to organic chemistry's continuing evolution.

Book Palladium mediated Carbon carbon Bond Formation Methodology and Mechanism Part I Palladium catalyzed arylation of Aryl Nitromethanes Phosphonoacetates and Phosphine Oxides Part II Mechanistic Study of the Palladium mediated Chemoselective Activation of C sp3 H Bonds

Download or read book Palladium mediated Carbon carbon Bond Formation Methodology and Mechanism Part I Palladium catalyzed arylation of Aryl Nitromethanes Phosphonoacetates and Phosphine Oxides Part II Mechanistic Study of the Palladium mediated Chemoselective Activation of C sp3 H Bonds written by Kelsey Faith VanGelder and published by . This book was released on 2016 with total page 606 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Part II: A unique C(sp3)–H bond activation of toluene by Pd(OAc)2 was recently discovered. The mechanism of this reaction was studied. The initially proposed mechanism was ruled out, and another mechanism, more consistent with experimental evidence, is proposed. Evidence for a rate-limiting C–H activation event is presented, as is as evidence for radical character in both the oxazolone starting material and toluene coupling partner. Kinetics studies were undertaken, which revealed a completely zero-order reaction, perhaps implicating an intramolecular rate-determining step.

Book Main Group Metals in Organic Synthesis

Download or read book Main Group Metals in Organic Synthesis written by Hisashi Yamamoto and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2006-03-06 with total page 905 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first handbook to cover in detail all aspects of this fascinating field of chemistry. In this handy two-volume set, readers will instantly find the information they need, clearly structured according to the individual metals in the main groups, hitherto only accessible after much time-consuming research. The result is in indispensable aid for everyday work in the lab. Alongside all the classical organic reactions, this book focuses on the modern variations as well as novel, current reactions in organic synthesis that are closely linked to main group elements - both stoechiometric and catalytic. With this work the two prizewinning editors have succeeded in producing a comprehensive compendium of the main group metals as reagents for organic reactions. In short, this is a must for every organic chemist, whether as an efficient introduction to current research, for retaining an overview or for looking up detailed information.
