We love to count down the traditional paper chains around Christmas. Long chains at other times of the year also make a sweet and inexpensive decoration! As it turns out, paper chains are really good for kids! Great for counting exercises, fine motor skills and working with formulas, I'm trying to find more ways to use paper chains in our lives! Younger and older children will be able to complete different steps in the process. They don't have to be red and green to use for Christmas! These paper chains look beautiful on this tree, and children LOVE the satisfaction of putting something on the tree that they've worked so hard on. Sometimes we like to save the garland that kids make earlier in the season and wrap it around the Christmas tree when they sleep on Christmas Eve! I already mentioned that we love to use a paper chain as a countdown to Christmas, but I think we'll start doing this for birthdays as well! 1.
