Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Bolehkah kami menulis sebahagian daripadanya? History and facts about the city of Jerusalem the Jews partly sourced facts which may be falsified . Therefore, Muslims must accept as authentic facts apparent from the teachings of Islam . The right advice is advice Messenger to 'Umar al - Khattab through his hadith which means : Jabir ( radiallahuanhu ) of the Prophet about the incident when Umar came to the king 's said means: O Messenger of Allah we have heard the stories and lessons to impress advice from Jews then how mind sir? Can we write a part? He s.a.w. said means: Do you feel hesitant and awkward in the teachings of your religion as the Jews and Christians who were in doubt and grope in the teachings of their religion ? Verily I have brought to you the religion of Islam with the situation in a clear and pure of any polytheism and fraud matters . And if the Prophet Moses was still alive of course there is no other way for him apart from following me . Narrated by Imam Ahmad Hambali and Sufism .

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The twentieth century has spawned a great interest in Indonesian music, and now books, articles, and manuscripts can be found that expound exclusively about karawitan (the combined vocal and instrumental music of the gamelan). Scholar Judith Becker has culled several key sources on karawitan into three volumes and has translated them for the benefit of the Western student of the gamelan tradition. The texts in her collection were written over a forty-five-year time period (ca 1930–1975) and include articles by Martopangrawit, Sumarsam, Sastrapustaka, Gitosaprodjo, Sindoesawarno, Poerbapangrawit, Probohardjono, Warsadiningrat, Purbodiningrat, Poerbatjaraka, and Paku Buwana X. The final volume also contains a glossary of technical terms, an appendix of the Javanese cipher notations (titilaras kepatihan), a biographical listing, and an index to the musical pieces (Gendhing).

Download or read book Signs of the Wali written by Tommy Christomy and published by ANU E Press. This book was released on 2008-04-01 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This thesis is a study of traditional narratives which are recited and received both by villagers and pilgrims in regard to the local pilgrimage (ziarah) tradition in Pamijahan, particularly at Shaykh Abdul Muhyi's sacred site. The narratives will be examined as part of the popular beliefs of Priangan Timur or the eastern part of West Java. Locating them in the wider context of Sundanese oral and written traditions, my investigation will illuminate the nature and function of such traditions in the particular case of Pamijahan. The research will elucidate the role of the kuncen, the custodians of sacred sites, as guides and spiritual brokers who maintain the narratives. It will also be important to investigate the villagers' as well as visitors' view of the kuncen in regard to local pilgrimage. The study will also enhance comparative studies concerned with networks of holy men or saints (wali) on the island of Java (Pemberton 1994; Fox 1991: 20). I want to argue that people respond to, and participate in, saint veneration on pragmatic grounds. However, these grounds are subject to interpretation and contestation in time and space. In redefining their narratives, various individuals, such as custodians, Sufis, and even to some extent government functionaries, are considered to be authoritative persons by virtue of their capacity to conduct and manipulate narratives. As this argument develops, it will be important to understand the modes of signification in the village."--Provided by publisher.
Download or read book Islamic States in Java 1500 1700 written by Theodore Gauthier Th. Pigeaud and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-12-01 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The growing interest in the history of Indonesia has made it desirable to have an English summary of the principal works of the Dutch historian Dr H. J. de Graaf, who in several books and articles published between 1935 and 1973 has given a description of the development of the Javanese kingdom of Mataram, based both on European and in digenous material. His works form a substantial contribution to the study of the national history of Indonesia. The Summary contains references to the paragraphs of the Dutch books and articles. This makes it easy for those readers who have a know ledge of Dutch to consult the original texts. The List of Sources for the study of Javanese history from 1500 to 1700 is composed of the lists in the summarized books and articles, and the Index of Names refers not only to the present Summary but also to the eight original texts. Many names of persons and localities in the Index have been provided with short explanatory notes and references to other lemmata as a quick way to give some provisional information on Javanese history.
