Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It has taken forty years of living, loving, sorrow, laughter and thirty extra pounds to make me feel like a woman; having a really great muse doesnat hurt either. Inspiration is highly underrated. I used to think body image was everything; now I know it is self image that dictates who we are. This book of poetry was inspired by a most unusual muse: a man I have never even met. I see myself in my muse as easily as I see the blue in my eyes. I know this man on a soul level. I know most people wonat believe that, but that doesnat mean it isnat true. Faith and free will are amazing gifts. Imagination is not only for children. I never understood when people would say, aI just know, a until I heard his music. Yes, he is a musician. Something in his music just makes me feel like I know him. I am a tiny speck in this beautiful universe, and that suits me just fine because there are six billion other tiny specks just waiting to be bumped into. As for the title, well, I have faith most of you will figure it out. I grow weary explaining my poetry to people as they have forgotten how to believe. This is a love story, my love story.

Book Why First borns Rule the World and Later borns Want to Change It

Download or read book Why First borns Rule the World and Later borns Want to Change It written by Michael Grose and published by Penguin Group Australia. This book was released on 2021-06-01 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are many factors affecting a child’s personality and the adult they become, but the least understood is birth order. Why is it that children in a family can share the same gene pool, a similar socio-economic environment and experience similar parenting styles yet have fundamentally different personalities, interests and even different careers as adults? Birth order! The implications for parents, teachers and adults involved with children are many. First published in 2003 to great acclaim, this fully revised and updated edition seeks to increase the reader’s understanding of birth order theory, including the impact of a child’s broader social environment and the rise of the standard two-child family, where the second-born is simultaneously the last-born. It will enable you to delve a little deeper and look for the constellation of positions within a family, giving you a clearer picture of your own quirks and ambitions, along with those of your siblings, children, partner, workmates, friends and colleagues. Addressing multiple births, children with a disability, genetic engineering, blended families, gender balance, only children and birth-order balance in the workplace, parenting expert and father of three Michael Grose challenges parents to raise each child differently according to his or her birth order.

Book El Conservador

Download or read book El Conservador written by George H. Rodriguez and published by . This book was released on 2018-09-12 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: George H. Rodriguez has dedicated his life to sharing conservative values with fellow Hispanics and all Americans. As a Ronald Reagan and George H. Bush appointee, he worked with the Department of Justice in community relations and immigration outreach, going on to work with the White House and on President Bush's 1988 presidential campaign. In recent years, Rodriguez has served with the GOP and was one of the first Hispanics to be president of a major Tea Party group. Now in El Conservador: Conservative Opinions, George H. Rodriguez shares a hard-hitting collection of his political essays and commentaries. As a nationally known blogger and political commenter, George Rodriguez is a constitutional conservative Texan of Mexican descent, also known as a Tejano. His essays reflect his belief in personal freedom, and they support the idea that all Texans and Americans should live life as they wish, as long as it does not harm others or infringe on another person's rights. With a commitment to conservative values--and in some cases with a little bit of a chile picoso attitude--Rodriguez focuses on critical political topics that all Americans should be informed about: from the basics of constitutional government, personal property ownership, and states' rights to contemporary issues like the debt, immigration, and so-called diversity. Because liberal misinformation and a growing government can be dangerous to the freedom and liberty of citizens, Rodriguez believes it is important to remember why America is the greatest nation on earth and protect its God-given destiny.

From veggie growers to wool producers, cattle graziers to oyster farmers there are so many different people and industries that can fall under the banner 'farmer'. Book Father of Frankenstein

Download or read book Father of Frankenstein written by Christopher Bram and published by . This book was released on 1999 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: James Whale was the most brilliant director of horror films Hollywood has ever seen, director of such classics as Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein (and indeed every horror film rated with four stars in Halliwell's Film Guide). But he was by no means a typical Hollywood product, both because he was English and because he was openly gay in the Hollywood of the 30s. Christopher Bram's moving and powerful novel portrays Whale in his last weeks of life in 1957, overwhelmed by images of his past, his working class childhood in Britain, Hollywood premieres in the 30s, friendships with Elsa Lanchester, Charles Laughton and Elizabeth Taylor. Consumed by the contrast between his past and his present obscurity, he conspires with his young gardener to provide his life with the dramatic ending it deserves.

Book Spoonfed Generation

Download or read book Spoonfed Generation written by Michael Grose and published by Random House Australia. This book was released on 2017-01-30 with total page 266 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It’s well established that parents in western countries such as Australia currently do too much for their kids, albeit with good intentions. Before driving their kids to school (or station or bus stop) each morning most parents would have woken their children up, made their breakfast and lunch, depositing the latter in their schoolbags, before reminding them to get dressed and brush their teeth. All this well-intentioned activity may make for an easier life at home but it encourages children to be dependent on adults for longer. This is the exact opposite of what parents have done in the past, which is to develop their children’s independence and achieve the most important parenting outcome of all – their own redundancy. There are a number of reasons for this high level of dependency parenting, including family shrinkage (parents are able to do a great deal for kids in small families), older parents (often over-concerned about their children), busy lives (it’s easier to do than delegate) and a heightened fear that the world is a dangerous place for young people. While terms such as ‘helicopter parents’, ‘bubble-wrapping kids’ and ‘over-parenting’ are now common place, they are unhelpful and offer little direction for parents. Spoonfed Generation will explain the importance of children’s independence and the vital stages to letting go. Never before has a generation been so dependent on their parents; now it’s time to remove the spoon and put it back in the drawer.

Book Just Grace

    Book Details:
  • Author : Charise Mericle Harper
  • Publisher : HarperCollins
  • Release : 2008-03-18
  • ISBN : 054734886X
  • Pages : 164 pages

Download or read book Just Grace written by Charise Mericle Harper and published by HarperCollins. This book was released on 2008-03-18 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The third-grader Grace Stewart gets stuck with the name “Just Grace” when she tries to distinguish herself from the three other Graces in her class. Grace is plenty different, though. She has a “teeny-tiny superpower,” for instance—she can tell if someone is unhappy and often tries to fix it. When she concocts an elaborate scheme to help her neighbor Mrs. Luther feel less lonely, however, her good intentions backfire rather dramatically. Headlines such as “What Happened At Home That Was Completely Surprising” and “Spying For A Good Reason Is Not Bad” keep things lively, as do various lists (“Boy Things,” “Rooms You Can Jump In”), comic strips, and the author’s cartoonish spot art. A funny glimpse into a third-grader’s madcap world of dashed hopes, perceived enemies, possible friends, cats, and sandwiches. Don’t miss the Just Grace website www.justgracebooks.com with its superpower quiz, podcasts, excerpts, and downloads . . . or the other books in the Just Grace series: Still Just Grace, Just Grace Goes Green, Just Grace Walks the Dog, Just Grace and the Snack Attack, Just Grace and the Terrible Tutu, and Just Grace and the Double Surprise!
