Download or read book Frank McKinney s Maverick Approach to Real Estate Success written by Frank E. McKinney and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2006-03-27 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Praise for Frank McKinney "My neighbor, Frank McKinney, is certainly a maverick and a spiritually grounded young man. The oceanfront homes he builds here in Florida are magnificent and unique. More important, Frank's life and the contributions he makes to his community and the world illustrate how a successful businessman can do well while doing good. The principles in Frank McKinney's Maverick Approach to Real Estate Success represent a road map of his achievements--a proven strategy for succeeding not just in real estate, but also in the business of life." --Rich DeVos, cofounder of Amway, owner of the Orlando Magic "If you're ready to make big profits in real estate, then read, absorb, and use the brilliance of Frank McKinney." --Mark Victor Hansen, coauthor of The One Minute Millionaire "Frank McKinney's book is an excellent how-to guide to earning real estate profits by using McKinney's maverick formulas to find undervalued real estate with profit potential. McKinney is different. This isn't another how-to-get-rich-in-real-estate book. Instead, it is the lively success story of a real estate maverick. McKinney reveals his simple strategies, with intriguing personal profit examples that explain how his repeatable techniques work over and over." --Robert J. Bruss, syndicated real estate columnist "If Hollywood were casting the role of a maverick who started with very little and went from a $50,000 fixer-upper to a $100 million mansion, they would choose Frank McKinney. Frank McKinney's Maverick Approach to Real Estate Success represents his approach to life. He decided to apply that approach to real estate and look what happened!" --Kendra Todd, winner of The Apprentice

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Inside the experiences of immigrants from Latin America and the Caribbean Latino Orlando portrays the experiences of first- and second-generation immigrants who have come to the Orlando metropolitan area from Puerto Rico, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, and other Latin American countries. While much research on immigration focuses on urban destinations, Simone Delerme delves into a middle- and upper-class suburban context, highlighting the profound demographic and cultural transformation of an overlooked immigrant hub. Drawing on interviews, observations, fieldwork, census data, and traditional and new media, Delerme reveals the important role of real estate developers in attracting Puerto Ricans—some of the first Spanish-speaking immigrants in the region—to Central Florida in the 1970s. She traces how language became a way of racializing and segregating Latino communities, leading to the growth of suburban ethnic enclaves. She documents not only the tensions between Latinos and non-Latinos, but also the class-based distinctions that cause dissent within the Latino population. Arguing that Latino migrants are complicating racial categorizations and challenging the deep-rooted Black-white binary that has long prevailed in the American South, Latino Orlando breaks down stereotypes of neighborhood decline and urban poverty and illustrates the diversity of Latinos in the region. A volume in the series Southern Dissent, edited by Stanley Harrold and Randall M. Miller

Book excerpt: This collection proposes Florida as a nexus of various contested moments, ideas, concepts, and relations. In the age of networks, it is not enough to only think of computerized, economic, or labor-intensive systems as networks. Florida is both a site of exploration—what does Florida mean – and a model for spatial work in general—how do we trace out the networked connections of a given space? Florida taps into an existing conversation regarding space, and it contributes a new approach by offering up the state as a network of both objective and personal meanings.
