Book PARALLELISATION DE REQUETES DANS UN SYSTEME DE GESTION DE BASES DE DONNEES RELATIONNELLES ETENDUES

Download or read book PARALLELISATION DE REQUETES DANS UN SYSTEME DE GESTION DE BASES DE DONNEES RELATIONNELLES ETENDUES written by CARLA.. CHACHATY and published by . This book was released on 1991 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: L'UTILISATION DE MACHINES PARALLELES PAR LES SYSTEMES DE GESTION DE BASES DE DONNEES CONSTITUE UNE SOLUTION PROMETTEUSE AUX BESOINS EN PERFORMANCE DE CES SYSTEMES. L'EXPLOITATION DE TELLES MACHINES NECESSITE LA MISE EN UVRE DE TECHNIQUES DE PARALLELISATION DE REQUETES, PERMETTANT DE DECOMPOSER UNE REQUETE EN PLUSIEURS PARTIES POUVANT ETRE EXECUTEES EN PARALLELE PAR PLUSIEURS PROCESSEURS. LA PARALLELISATION DE REQUETES TELLE QU'ELLE A ETE ABORDEE DANS CETTE THESE S'INSCRIT DANS LE CADRE DU PROJET EUROPEEN ESPRIT II EDS. ELLE COMPORTE ESSENTIELLEMENT DEUX ASPECTS: L'ASPECT COMPILATION QUI PERMET D'OPTIMISER ET DE PARALLELISER LES REQUETES ET L'ASPECT LANGAGE QUI PERMET D'EXPRIMER LES PLANS D'EXECUTION OBTENUS POUR LA REQUETE EN SE BASANT SUR LE MODELE D'EXECUTION SOUS-JACENT AU SYSTEME D'EXECUTION. LA PRISE EN COMPTE DE L'ENVIRONNEMENT PARALLELE EST EFFECTUEE LE PLUS TOT POSSIBLE DANS LA COMPILATION, C'EST-A-DIRE A LA PHASE D'OPTIMISATION PHYSIQUE. LA COMPILATION EST TRES POUSSEE POUR PERMETTRE UNE BONNE OPTIMISATION DES PROGRAMMES OBTENUS, ET POUR SIMPLIFIER LE SYSTEME D'EXECUTION. AINSI, DES OPERATIONS DE CONTROLE ADAPTEES SONT INTRODUITES PAR LE PARALLELISEUR DE CONTROLE DANS LE CORPS DE LA REQUETE COMPILEE POUR ASSURER LE CONTROLE DE LA REQUETE LORS DE SON EXECUTION PARALLELE. LE LANGAGE PARALLEL LERA CONSTITUE UN OUTIL PUISSANT D'EXPRESSION DE PLANS D'EXECUTION PARALLELES CAPABLES DE S'AUTOCONTROLER A L'EXECUTION. PLUSIEURS CONCEPTS, TELS QUE LA LOCALOP, L'ASSOCIATION, OU LES SYNCHRONISATIONS LOCALES, PERMETTENT AU COMPILATEUR D'EXPLOITER AU MIEUX LES POSSIBILITES DU MODELE D'EXECUTION. DES EVALUATIONS DE PERFORMANCES ONT PERMIS DE CHIFFRER LES GAINS DE PERFORMANCES QU'IL EST POSSIBLE D'OBTENIR EN UTILISANT LES CONCEPTS AINSI DEFINIS. L'IMPLEMENTATION DE CE LANGAGE SUR UN SYSTEME D'EXECUTION PARALLELE A PERMIS DE TESTER LES STRATEGIES D'EXECUTION PROPOSEES ET D'APPORTER UNE MEILLEURE COMPREHENSION DES CRITERES A PRENDRE EN COMPTE POUR CES STRATEGIES LORS DE L'OPTIMISATION.

Book TRAITEMENT PARALLELE DE REQUETES RELATIONNELLES MODELISATION OPTIMISATION ET STRATEGIES D ORDONNANCEMENT

Download or read book TRAITEMENT PARALLELE DE REQUETES RELATIONNELLES MODELISATION OPTIMISATION ET STRATEGIES D ORDONNANCEMENT written by Harald Kosch and published by . This book was released on 1997 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DANS CETTE THESE NOUS INTRODUISONS UNE METHODOLOGIE D'OPTIMISATION DE REQUETES COMPLEXES (TYPIQUES DES APPLICATIONS D'AIDE A LA DECISION) DANS UNE BASE DE DONNEES PARALLELE MULTI-REQUETES. CETTE METHODOLOGIE ORIGINALE S'ARTICULE SUR QUATRE IDEES-FORCES. PREMIEREMENT, L'INTRODUCTION D'UNE NOUVELLE MODELISATION DU TRAITEMENT DE REQUETES PARALLELES (LES DPL GRAPHES), PLUS PROCHE DES CONTEXTES D'EXECUTION REELS QUE LES TRAVAUX PRECEDENTS. DEUXIEMEMENT, LA STRUCTURATION DE L'OPTIMISATION DE REQUETES EN TROIS MODULES VIA UN DECOUPLAGE ENTRE OPTIMISATION INTER-OPERATION ET OPTIMISATION INTRA-OPERATION. UNE STRATEGIE RANDOMISEE ANALYSE, EN PARALLELE, L'ESPACE DES PARALLELISATIONS POSSIBLES ET DETERMINE LE DEGRE DE PARALLELISME INTER-OPERATION. UN DEUXIEME MODULE EFFECTUE L'ALLOCATION DE RESSOURCES ET CALCULE LE DEGRE DE PARALLELISME INTRA-OPERATION. CELUI-CI EST BASE SUR UNE HEURISTIQUE QUI PREND EN CONSIDERATION LE VOLUME DE TRAVAIL A EFFECTUER AINSI QUE LA CHARGE DES MACHINES. UN DERNIER MODULE DETERMINE LA MEILLEURE METHODE D'IMPLEMENTATION AINSI QUE LES METHODES D'ACCES AUX DONNEES. TROISIEMEMENT, LE DEVELOPPEMENT D'UNE STRATEGIE GLOBALE D'OPTIMISATION FONDEE SUR L'ANALYSE DE L'ESPACE DE TOUTES LES PARALLELISATIONS POSSIBLES VIA L'EXECUTION COOPERATIVE DES TROIS MODULES D'OPTIMISATION PRECEDENTS. ENFIN, L'INTRODUCTION D'UNE NOUVELLE METHODOLOGIE DE CONTROLE DU TRAITEMENT DES REQUETES DANS LES SYSTEMES SANS PARTAGE (SHARED NOTHING SYSTEMS). COMPARE AUX TRAVAUX PRECEDENTS, NOTRE FORMALISME OFFRE UNE METHODOLOGIE COMPLETE POUR DETECTER ET CORRIGER LES ERREURS D'ESTIMATION DE L'OPTIMISATEUR STATIQUE OU LES CHANGEMENTS DE LA CHARGE MACHINE PENDANT L'EXECUTION (PROBLEME TYPIQUEMENT RENCONTRE PAR LES REQUETES D'EXECUTION LONGUE). DES TESTS DE PERFORMANCES SUR DES MACHINES PARALLELES (INTEL IPSC860 ET PARAGON) ONT MONTRE L'EFFICACITE ET CETTE METHODOLOGIE. UN PROTOCOLE DE VALIDATION TRES COMPLET (SCHEMA DE BASES DE DONNEES INTEGRANT 100 RELATIONS ; OPTIMISATION DE 432 REQUETES AUX CARACTERISTIQUES TRES VARIEES) A ETE DEFINI ET MIS EN UVRE POUR VERIFIER LA PERTINENCE DES METHODOLOGIES ET TECHNIQUES PROPOSEES. UNE VASTE ETUDE DE L'ESPACE DE PARALLELISATION A ETE MENEE QUI MONTRE L'EFFICACITE DU MODELE PROPOSE

Book Adaptive Stream Mining

Download or read book Adaptive Stream Mining written by Albert Bifet and published by IOS Press. This book was released on 2010 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a significant contribution to the subject of mining time-changing data streams and addresses the design of learning algorithms for this purpose. It introduces new contributions on several different aspects of the problem, identifying research opportunities and increasing the scope for applications. It also includes an in-depth study of stream mining and a theoretical analysis of proposed methods and algorithms. The first section is concerned with the use of an adaptive sliding window algorithm (ADWIN). Since this has rigorous performance guarantees, using it in place of counters or accumulators, it offers the possibility of extending such guarantees to learning and mining algorithms not initially designed for drifting data. Testing with several methods, including Naïve Bayes, clustering, decision trees and ensemble methods, is discussed as well. The second part of the book describes a formal study of connected acyclic graphs, or 'trees', from the point of view of closure-based mining, presenting efficient algorithms for subtree testing and for mining ordered and unordered frequent closed trees. Lastly, a general methodology to identify closed patterns in a data stream is outlined. This is applied to develop an incremental method, a sliding-window based method, and a method that mines closed trees adaptively from data streams. These are used to introduce classification methods for tree data streams.

What truly influences our decisions in today’s message-cluttered world? In Buyology, Martin Lindstrom presents the astonishing findings from his groundbreaking three-year, seven-million-dollar neuromarketing study—a cutting-edge experiment that peered inside the brains of 2,000 volunteers from all around the world as they encountered various ads, logos, commercials, brands, and products. His startling results shatter much of what we have long believed about what captures our interest—and drives us to buy. Among the questions he explores: • Does sex actually sell? • Does subliminal advertising still surround us? • Can “cool” brands trigger our mating instincts? • Can our other senses—smell, touch, and sound—be aroused when we see a product? Buyology is a fascinating and shocking journey into the mind of today's consumer that will captivate anyone who's been seduced—or turned off—by marketers' relentless attempts to win our loyalty, our money, and our minds.

Book Revisiting Moroccan Migrations

Download or read book Revisiting Moroccan Migrations written by Mohammed Berriane and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-02-02 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over the 20th century, Morocco has become one of the world’s major emigration countries. But since 2000, growing immigration and settlement of migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and Europe confronts Morocco with an entirely new set of social, cultural, political and legal issues. This book explores how continued emigration and increasing immigration is transforming contemporary Moroccan society, with a particular emphasis on the way the Moroccan state is dealing with shifting migratory realities. The authors of this collective volume embark on a dialogue between theory and empirical research, showcasing how contemporary migration theories help understanding recent trends in Moroccan migration, and, vice-versa, how the specific Moroccan case enriches migration theory. This perspective helps to overcome the still predominant Western-centric research view that artificially divide the world into ‘receiving’ and ‘sending’ countries and largely disregards the dynamics of and experiences with migration in countries in the Global South. This book was previously published as a special issue of The Journal of North African Studies.
