In my research in Punta Gorda, Belize in 1993-94, I dealt directly with schools and children in an attempt to understand how ethnic and nationalist identities are taught and then incorporated by children in practice. The third part examines possible reasons for these differences - methodological issues, school systems, societal values and linguistic issues. This is the first volume to bring together these perspectives on school bullying from a range of Eastern as well as Western countries.
