Download or read book On Generalized Axially Symmetric Potentials written by Robert P. Gilbert and published by . This book was released on 1961 with total page 36 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Certain properties of generalized axially symmetric potentials (GASP) are investigated by means of integral operator methods. A modified form of the residue theorem is obtained. In addition, the Hadmard criteria concerning the expansion coefficients of a meromorphic function and its singularities seem to hold also for GASP.

Download or read book Poisson s Equation and Generalized Axially Symmetric Potential Theory written by Robert P. Gilbert and published by . This book was released on 1962 with total page 30 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A method is developed by which one may obtain solutions to the non- homogeneous equation of generalized axially symmetric potential theory (GASPT). Representation formulae are obtained and the method is shown to be extendable under certain symmetry conditions to the Poisson equation in three variables.
Download or read book Some Properties of Generalized Axially Symmetric Potentials written by Robert P. Gilbert and published by . This book was released on 1961 with total page 30 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some properties of the functions of generalized axially symmetric potential theory (GASPT) are investigated by the Sonine-Bergman operator. GASPT function elements are considered in the case of entire and meromorphic associates. Theorems concerning inequalities and location of singularities are obtained.
Download or read book Multivalued Functions in Generalized Axially Symmetric Potential Theory written by Lawrence Edward Payne and published by . This book was released on 1954 with total page 44 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this paper we obtain expressions for the multivalued potentials and stream functions arising in certain fundamental problems in Generalized Axially Symmetric Potential Theory. These expressions exhibit clearly the analytic character and the cyclic nature of the functions, and involve sums or integrals of Legendre functions.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: By using a special form of the Whittaker-Bergman operator, it is shown that the Schwarz-lemma is true in the case of axially symmetric potentials.

Download or read book Clifford Algebras and their Applications in Mathematical Physics written by F. Brackx and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 405 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This International Conference on Clifford AlgebrfU and Their Application, in Math ematical Phy,ic, is the third in a series of conferences on this theme, which started at the Univer, ity of Kent in Canterbury in 1985 and was continued at the Univer,iU de, Science, et Technique, du Languedoc in Montpellier in 1989. Since the start of this series of Conferences the research fields under consideration have evolved quite a lot. The number of scientific papers on Clifford Algebra, Clifford Analysis and their impact on the modelling of physics phenomena have increased tremendously and several new books on these topics were published. We were very pleased to see old friends back and to wellcome new guests who by their inspiring talks contributed fundamentally to tracing new paths for the future development of this research area. The Conference was organized in Deinze, a small rural town in the vicinity of the University town Gent. It was hosted by De Ceder, a vacation and seminar center in a green area, a typical landscape of Flanders's "plat pays" . The Conference was attended by 61 participants coming from 18 countries; there were 10 main talks on invitation, 37 contributions accepted by the Organizing Com mittee and a poster session. There was also a book display of Kluwer Academic Publishers. As in the Proceedings of the Canterbury and Montpellier conferences we have grouped the papers accordingly to the themes they are related to: Clifford Algebra, Clifford Analysis, Classical Mechanics, Mathematical Physics and Physics Models.
Download or read book Handbook of Differential Equations written by Daniel Zwillinger and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2021-12-30 with total page 737 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Through the previous three editions, Handbook of Differential Equations has proven an invaluable reference for anyone working within the field of mathematics, including academics, students, scientists, and professional engineers. The book is a compilation of methods for solving and approximating differential equations. These include the most widely applicable methods for solving and approximating differential equations, as well as numerous methods. Topics include methods for ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, stochastic differential equations, and systems of such equations. Included for nearly every method are: The types of equations to which the method is applicable The idea behind the method The procedure for carrying out the method At least one simple example of the method Any cautions that should be exercised Notes for more advanced users The fourth edition includes corrections, many supplied by readers, as well as many new methods and techniques. These new and corrected entries make necessary improvements in this edition.

This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 458 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Clifford Algebras continues to be a fast-growing discipline, with ever-increasing applications in many scientific fields. This volume contains the lectures given at the Fourth Conference on Clifford Algebras and their Applications in Mathematical Physics, held at RWTH Aachen in May 1996. The papers represent an excellent survey of the newest developments around Clifford Analysis and its applications to theoretical physics. Audience: This book should appeal to physicists and mathematicians working in areas involving functions of complex variables, associative rings and algebras, integral transforms, operational calculus, partial differential equations, and the mathematics of physics.
