Book Introdu o Teoria do Sistema Autopoi tico do Direito

Download or read book Introdu o Teoria do Sistema Autopoi tico do Direito written by Leonel Severo Rocha and published by Livraria do Advogado Editora. This book was released on 2021-07-22 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book El derecho como sistema autopoi tico written by Gunther Teubner and published by U. Externado de Colombia. This book was released on 2018-02-21 with total page 19 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Law as an Autopoietic System

Download or read book Law as an Autopoietic System written by Gunther Teubner and published by Wiley-Blackwell. This book was released on 1993-01-01 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The present debate in legal theory is dominated by an unfruitful schism. On the one hand, analytical theories are concerned with the positivity of law, running the risk of missing the law's relation to society. On the other hand, sociological approaches analyze all sorts of social interactions of law, but have developed no conceptual tools to do justice to the autonomy of law. The theory of autopoiesis offers law a chance of getting round the falsely posed alternative between an autonomous rule system or a socially conditioned decision-making process. It is a theory of law that sees the law's autonomy in the self-reproduction of a communication network and understands its relation to society as interference with other autonomous communication networks. Building on the ideas of Humberto Maturana, Heinz von Foerster and Niklas Luhmann, Gunther Teubner uses the concepts of self-organization and autopoiesis to develop a concept of law as a hypercyclically closed social system. This book will stand as a landmark in legal theory and become a standard point of departure in the sociology of law.

This book was released on with total page 28 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Governing Turbulence Risk and Opportunities in the Complexity Age

Download or read book Governing Turbulence Risk and Opportunities in the Complexity Age written by Guglielmo Chiodi and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2018-11-23 with total page 366 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is composed of several articles that explore complexity in its most varied aspects. The solution of contemporary problems, whatever they may be, requires a multifaceted vision, far beyond the reductionist perspective. The study of complex systems, however, does not have the capacity to offer ready answers to the challenges of humanity. On the contrary, it points to the increase in uncertainty, the need to control variables, and uncertainty. This does not mean, therefore, that we should simply ignore the social, economic, and political phenomena that are all around us. What this book demonstrates is the importance of knowledge being disseminated, and it is imperative that different sciences exchange ideas, theories, and breakthroughs.

Book Epistemologies of the South

Download or read book Epistemologies of the South written by Boaventura de Sousa Santos and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2015-11-17 with total page 285 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the concept of 'cognitive injustice': the failure to recognise the different ways of knowing by which people across the globe run their lives and provide meaning to their existence. Boaventura de Sousa Santos shows why global social justice is not possible without global cognitive justice. Santos argues that Western domination has profoundly marginalised knowledge and wisdom that had been in existence in the global South. She contends that today it is imperative to recover and valorize the epistemological diversity of the world. Epistemologies of the South outlines a new kind of bottom-up cosmopolitanism, in which conviviality, solidarity and life triumph against the logic of market-ridden greed and individualism.

Book excerpt: The Grddha Mullick family bursts with marvellous tales of hangmen and hangings in which they figure as eyewitnesses to the momentous events that have shaped the history of the subcontinent. When twenty-two-year-old Chetna Grddha Mullick is appointed the first woman executioner in India, assistant and successor to her father, her life explodes under the harsh lights of television cameras. When the day of the execution arrives, will she bring herself to take a life? Meera’s spectacular imagination turns the story of Chetna’s life into an epic and perverse coming-of-age tale. The lurid pleasures of voyeurism and the punishing ironies of violence are kept in agile balance as the drama hurtles to its inevitable climax.
