Download or read book Testing the Data Warehouse Practicum written by Wayne Yaddow Doug Vucevic & and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2012-08 with total page 301 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The quality of a data warehouse (DWH) is the elusive aspect of it, not because it is hard to achieve [once we agree what it is], but because it is difficult to describe. We propose the notion that quality is not an attribute or a feature that a product has to possess, but rather a relationship between that product and each and every stakeholder. More specifically, the relationship between the software quality and the organization that produces the products is explored. Quality of data that populates the DWH is the main concern of the book, therefore we propose a definition for data quality as: "fitness to serve each and every purpose". Methods are proposed throughout the book to help readers achieve data warehouse quality.

Book excerpt: Thomas Blades, a 17th century curate, discovers a magical door to another world - or rather to an alternative Earth. But here, humanity is not the top of the food chain, as Blades finds when the poor, burrow-dwelling humans he stumbles over are hunted and eaten by the Null - mighty, ravening beasts whose intelligence and killing ability makes them top predator. Returning to our own world for weapons, Blades vows to become humanity's saviour on his new earth and, over the years, builds an empire of which he becomes the first God-king. Power shifts between humanity and Null but as the humans grow in sophistication, so comes treachery, jealousy and murder - and God-king Blades will change much from the timid cleric who first happened upon his domain...

Download or read book Conditional Function Control of Aircraft written by Andrey Vyacheslavovich Yakovlev and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-04-09 with total page 155 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book highlights the prevention of possible accidents and crashes of aircrafts by analyzing the many factors that affect such events. It includes the theoretical study of known ideas and concepts, as well as a set of new methods and mathematical models. It contains factual information to investigate famous disasters and aviation accidents with aircrafts. The book proposes methods and models that can be the basis in developing guidance material for decision-making by the flight crew and experts in air traffic control. Some of the contents presented in this book are also useful in the design and operation of data transmission systems of aircraft. The book is intended for engineering and technical specialists engaged in the development, manufacturing and operations of onboard radio electronic systems of aircraft and ground-based radio engineering support for flights, as well as graduate students and senior students of radio engineering specialties. It is useful to researchers and managers whose activities are related to air traffic control.
Download or read book Null Landing written by Isaiah A. Hines and published by . This book was released on 2022 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Soldering geologic fieldnotes and experimental performance score, null landing attempts a poetics of incalculability. Bad made measure and speculation on value emerge as creative instruments in a confrontation with colonial language and disciplinarity. An extended consideration of the geopolitical encounter, this debut collection orchestrates black spatial practice, data aggregation, and performative utterance/text. Poet and reader embark on a series of forays into archaeometallurgy, ornithology, and quantum mechanics, navigating remote sites of poetic exchange and discharge, or null islands. Meandering annotation and citation function as a corollary mode of engaging vast underlying architectures of information and the continuum of meaning wherein 'truth' resides. An aerial grid recalibrates and warps to accommodate contested origin points and scattered human narratives, conjuring a constellation of coordinates. null landing dwells in the intervals between virtual and actual topographies, learning from and thinking with GIS enthusiasts, single-celled organisms, mineral deposits, and black creatives across genres. Delving into the technologies by which places, persons, and raw materials are extracted and abstracted for purposes of mapping, subduing, and accumulating capital, these poems recover a suite of disavowed geospatial knowledges.
Download or read book Flexible Syntax written by A. Neeleman and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 261 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most linguistic theories assume that each grammatical relation is established in a unique structural configuration. Neeleman and Weerman take issue with this view, arguing for a more flexible approach on the basis of conceptual considerations and data taken mostly, but not exclusively, from the Germanic languages. In-depth analyses of word order phenomena as well as diachronic and typological generalizations motivate a re-evaluation of the role of case in the projection of arguments. Case is shown to provide a syntactic foothold for thematic interpretation, something which is necessary in a grammar that does not allow fixed theta-positions. Thus, this study does not only offer a genuine alternative to many standard assumptions, it also explains why there should be such a thing as case in natural language.
