The Goldlist method is a simple vocabulary learning method using your long-term memory. The author of this method is the famous polyglot, David James. The basic rule of this method is that every day you write down a list of 20 words/expressions you want to learn in your notebook (we call it a headlist). Then you make 14-days break and come back to the list. You cover the expressions in your native language and translate them at loud. You sort out the expressions that you remember (you will find out you remember almost 30%!) and copy those you don't (14 expressions). This step we call 1st distillation. You wait next 14 days and repeat the process (2nd distillation). After the 2nd distillation, you sort out 10 expressions. Then after another 14 days, you make 3rd distillation, which the result is 7 expressions selected. More information you will find in our notebook. How does it work? This method uses your long-term memory. Because of that reason, it's so crucial you won't repeat the words from your headlist during the 14 days. The process of learning is making subconsciously and effortlessly. Try to not use another method to learn the vocabulary from your headlists.
