The goal of this book and the North Pole Santa School is to help you become a GREAT Santa who knows how to create a fun, memorable experience for children and their families. You may not agree with me 100% on everything and that is okay. We each must find our own way of portraying Santa Claus. But this guide will show you what I found that works best for me and just might help you. Many people think all it takes to be santa claus (with a small s and a small c) is to put on a red suit and a fake beard and say, ho ho ho. They are wrong! I can put on a green operating room outfit, complete with hair cover and shoe covers and a stethoscope but that doesn't make me a doctor and you sure don't want me taking out your appendix. Becoming a GREAT Santa Claus (large S and C) takes time to build up experience and training. Then there is the Performance Liability Insurance, annual back ground checks, good looking suits and more. If you are just beginning to wear the red suit, this school and book will help start you on your journey to becoming a GREAT Santa Claus. If you have been a Santa Claus for several years or more, this school and book may give you a new idea or two that will help you become a GREATER Santa Claus. So, welcome to the journey. I will be your mentor, guide and friend during this part of your trip. I hope we travel a long way together. Book excerpt: A veteran Santa reveals heartwarming true stories and lessons from his twenty-year career spreading Christmas magic. With the holiday shopping season beginning earlier each year, more than ever. Americans are struggling to remember the true meaning of Christmas. And who better to deliver the gift of Christmas inspiration than a man who has spent the last two decades playing Santa? Sal Lizard was in his twenties when his beard and hair turned completely white. Today he appears everywhere from malls and parades to schools and hospitals. And— from his custom-made red velvet suits to the mistletoe that hangs from the rearview mirror in his Santa-mobile—he is Santa Claus three hundred and sixty-five days a year. In Being Santa Claus Sal reflects on his experiences with both children and adults including: Christmas magic is all around us: We don’t always see it, but it is there, shaping and enriching our lives. Sometimes you need to go that extra mile:Santa Claus is the one person who can’t even use a blizzard as an excuse not to honor his commitments, and Sal teaches adults the importance of always showing up for our children. Even a small child can make a big difference: Sal has met some impressive children over the years, and he’s learned that you don’t need to be a grown-up to make an impact on the world around you. In Being Santa Claus Sal shares these lessons, along with often heartwarming, occasionally heartbreaking, and sometimes downright hysterical stories from his twenty-year career as Santa.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Every December an envelope bearing a stamp from the North Pole would arrive for J.R.R. Tolkien’s children. Inside would be a letter in a strange, spidery handwriting and a beautiful colored drawing or painting. The letters were from Father Christmas. They told wonderful tales of life at the North Pole: how the reindeer got loose and scattered presents all over the place; how the accident-prone North Polar Bear climbed the North Pole and fell through the roof of Father Christmas’s house into the dining room; how he broke the Moon into four pieces and made the Man in it fall into the back garden; how there were wars with the troublesome horde of goblins who lived in the caves beneath the house, and many more. No reader, young or old, can fail to be charmed by Tolkien’s inventiveness in this classic holiday treat.
