Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Leave a Cheater, Gain a Life is a no-nonsense self-help guide for anyone who has ever been cheated on. Here's advice not based on saving your relationship after infidelity -- but saving your sanity. When it comes to cheating, a lot of the attention is focused on cheaters -- their unmet needs or their challenges with monogamy. But Tracy Schorn (aka Chump Lady) lampoons such blameshifting and puts the focus squarely on the-cheated-upon (chumps) and their needs. Combining solid advice that champions self-respect, along with hilarious cartoons satirizing the pomposity of cheaters, Leave a Cheater, Gain a Life offers a fresh voice for chumps who want (and need) a new message about infidelity. This book will offer advice on Stupid sh*t cheaters say and how to respond, Rookie mistakes of the recently chumped and how to disarm your fears, Why chumps take the blame and how to protect yourself, and more. Full of snark, sass, and real wisdom about how to bounce back after the gut blow of betrayal, Schorn is the friend who guides you through this nightmare and gives you hope for a better life ahead.

It explores in detail his life on the mean streets of Chicago. It provides an up close and personal look at how death, danger and destruction affected him mentally and spiritually. His experiences on the streets led him to resign and begin another chapter in his life. This new chapter began with him studying at Candler school of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia. His personal mission was to become a protestant minister. However, the Lord had other plans. His experience at Candler helped him to embrace his Roman Catholic tradition and eventually enabled him to answer his call to the priesthood.

But her vacation ends abruptly when bodies are found at a university and she gets pulled into the case. The horrifying methodology—deliberate body positioning, a distinctive red heart scrawled on each victim—indicates to Sophie that a new serial killer has claimed the area. Oddly, though, certain signature elements differ between killings. Fortunately, the FBI database has a record of many of the signatures—but each belongs to a different serial killer. As the bodies continue to appear, Sophie must hone her terrifying skills and suffer the horrors in her head in order to stop this killer.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Maddie and Miss Birdie: Cousins Can Be So Cool focuses on the letter C. It is the third book in a series of twenty-six. The goals of this series are to indicate that in perceived imperfection, there is still grace and perfection; to teach the alphabet and increase vocabulary; to show a love for animals while teaching facts of each; to show that the imagination is a wonderful thing to use; and to bring to children ideas of entertainment and excitement that lie within nature. Each book has a character with a childhood illness or disorder that begins with the letter of the alphabet that the book is focused on. Maddie is a smart, kind, adventurous young girl who is always looking to have a day full of fun. Miss Birdie is a bluebird who is Maddie's sidekick and stays prepared to help and serve with unconditional love. Join Maddie and her cousins as they play in their clubhouses that they call the castle and the cave. Their imagination allows them to be princesses and cadets and create animals in the clouds. As Captain Carson, his cadets, and loyal Labrador named Chief plan an attack on the girls, Braylin's cystic fibrosis causes her to have a crisis. As cruddy as cystic fibrosis is, it seems that a crisis is the charm that makes the cousins realize that coming together is much better than playing against one another. As you enjoy this story, you will learn that courage, confidence, and clemency are really cool! Look for Maddie and Miss Birdie's other books: An Apple Orchard Adventure Barnyard Buddies

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Penelope Prior, the daughter of Presbyterian missionaries, grew up in an Armenian community in northern Persia. During the Great War, she and her family returned to the US. But as soon as the war ended, a call was issued for volunteers with the languages and experience required to bring life-saving food and medical aid to the vast numbers of war victims and refugees who had fled to the Armenian Caucasus. Hungry, sick, homeless, and desperate, the children needed every kind of help. A new type of humanitarian enterprise was formed to rescue them, on a scale never attempted before. This innovative collaboration of churches, government, agriculture and industry, charities, voluntary organizations, and the media was created by the Near East Relief. Penny and her father respond to the call and soon find themselves in a city of orphans--children left alone or stranded by war and deportation. All of her ability and strength must be summoned to help establish a haven for these young survivors. As they face the struggles together, trauma and loss begin to make way for a bit of recovery and hope.
Download or read book Their God S written by Michael Jean Nystrom-Schut and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2015-11-19 with total page 499 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the mind of each person on the planet, a set of notions and ideas of God or gods reside. Some of these systems are basic and simple. Others are highly complex and complicated. Some borrow their God/god notions from authority, or from others they know. Others are much more original - eclectically piecing together many separate parts from multiple sources. No two people in the world experience and translate God/gods in the same way. And this is what makes things so interesting! As I have encountered this wonderful life, I have also bumped up against countless people who were in the position to explain exactly who God was and was not. They were quite sure of themselves, and anxious to impart this wisdom to me. But because I had a mind and heart of my own, this put me on the outside looking in, for much of my life. We all come to a place where we realize we must make our minds up as to what we will and will not do, how we will think and who we will be. As I have encountered them and their God/gods, I have found my own way through this foggy maze, and discovered a modicum of peace and reconciliation in the process. This is the massive task of all of us, as well as why I needed to lay it out to you, in this lengthy, 2-part book.
