Book Story Time for Kids with Nlp by the English Sisters

Download or read book Story Time for Kids with Nlp by the English Sisters written by Violeta Zuggo and published by . This book was released on 2013-09 with total page 24 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Little Grasshopper and the Big Ball of Dung is the second book in a series of children's books with NLP by The English Sisters, preceded by The Little Sparrow and the Chimney Pot. It is designed to appeal to young children and ideal for story time. The little grasshopper bumps into a wise dung beetle rolling a ball of dung up a big hill. The little grasshopper rather cheekily wants to do what the dung beetle is doing 'his way' and has a go. He soon learns that it s not as easy as it looked. The little grasshopper then decides to listen to the wise dung beetle and models the dung beetle 'doing as he does'. At the end of the story he successfully models the dung beetles behaviour and achieves his desired outcome. Modelling excellence is at the heart of NLP. As humans we can model any behaviour by simply mastering the beliefs, the physiology and the thought processes that underline the skill or behaviour. For young children it is essential that these fundamental NLP skills are learnt so that they acquire the necessary skills for lifelong learning. The Little Grasshopper and the Ball of Dung is a story to be enjoyed over and over again.

Book No Talk Therapy for Children and Adolescents

Download or read book No Talk Therapy for Children and Adolescents written by Martha B Straus and published by W. W. Norton & Company. This book was released on 1999-02-02 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Weaving practical, hands-on ideas with theory and research about child development, child treatment, and the therapeutic relationship, this book describes an innovative approach to treatment of children and adolescents who won't or can't respond to traditional, conversation-based therapy. For these children, therapists need an entirely new clinical language, one that doesn't depend on words. Within an interpersonal and developmental framework, Straus spells out the deceptively simple goals of no-talk therapy: someone to be close to, and something to be proud of. Through empathy and respect, games, activities, community involvement, a circle of adults, and little pleasures, this approach begins to provide these anxious, sullen, enraged, and confused kids with the self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-awareness to develop a voice of their own.

""Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible - the kind of atmosphere found in a nurturing family."" - Virginia Satir, Family Therapist Parenting is not an idea, a concept or a belief. It's a process and therefore is neither static nor fixed in time that results in something special being created. Your activities and responsibilities as a parent evolve with your children, taking into account their needs - physical, social, emotional and intellectual - and your ability to be aware of and to meet these needs. As an effective parent, you help your children overcome perceived limitations to do their best and to be a valued member of the family. All the while, you bump up against your own limitations - many of your own making. "Parents' Handbook: NLP & Common Sense Guide for Family Well-Being" provides you with tools, techniques, insights and approaches to improve the way you communicate, to be available emotionally and physically and to successfully fulfill the different roles expected of you as a parent. By the time you finish the "Parents' Handbook," you will have discovered how to: Have meaningful, supportive conversations with your partner and children. Address beliefs or habits that get in the way of being an effective parent. Help your children address beliefs or habits that limit them. Support yourself and family members in achieving your respective dreams. Fulfill the six primary parenting roles essential for the well-being of your children. Support your children in learning effectively at school and at home. Although written for parents, the material is presented at a level older teens can understand and use. With the aid of their parents, younger teens will also find most concepts in this book useful. This book draws on an area of personal development called neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). NLP has helped hundreds of thousands discover their own potential and live the lives they desire. Make it the difference that makes a difference for your family.
